I have had 5 orphaned kittens for about a month now and guess their age to be about 5 weeks old. The mother had gotten hit by a car, and the owner was letting them die. Well, today they are healthy, strong, and getting bigger. I bottlefed them on a schedule so they always had food.

Does not work: TNR. It only slows it down. As the colonies age their members die off (even without active removal) and new cats come in, being unfixed, and breed profusely.
