I took two cats into a local shelter. One was a stray
and the other was a friend's cat. The local cat advocates
said that we could get them both neutered and that wouldn't
be a problem.
kittens getting to VCA16 Jul 2004 21:24 GMT1
Do you think Chip might be able to get the kittens (how ever many don't get
adopted this weekend) down to VCA on the 24th by 9:30? Dave has to be at
work at 7 so he can't take them down but will be home in time to pick them
back up.

with. Does anyone have any pointers on identifying potential donors?

FIP13 Jul 2004 12:48 GMT7
We're taking of two feral kitties and haven't thought
about them infecting our other cats. What is FIP and
how is it transmitted? It's obviously not like HIV
which can only be transmitted through body fluids, so
Arizona Humane Society Needs Cat Food13 Jul 2004 05:23 GMT10
The Arizona Humane Society is badly in need of cat food, both dry and canned
because of the large number of injured, abused, sick, and pregnant cats they
have been taking in. You can read all about it at www.azhumane.org.
Sick Kitty.  Please help!13 Jul 2004 02:43 GMT4
We have a 5 year old spayed female who has a history rhinitus which is
caused by a cyst in her sinus.  We cannot afford the price of an endoscophy
$5000.00 to have the cyst removed.  A couple of times a year she gets a
sinus infection which is treated with antibiotics and she ...
ethics: The stray that wasn't..12 Jul 2004 23:01 GMT11
About three weeks ago this nice little tom started visiting us. We
have two indoor cats and they were pretty agitated.
He kept coming around, and I took a good look at him. He was
un-neutered, looked to be a year or two old, was bedraggled and

How does one go about domesticating ferile kittens?
The dh brought home 6 of them. They are approx. 8 - 12 wks. old. and want no
parts of being picked up - hissing, biting and scratching ensues when you
try. They had been living under a friend's porch but were upsetting the

What's the best humane cat trap. The
haveaharts seem to have too strong a
spring and no second door to help release
feral cats. Thanks
CHartreux Cat Wanted12 Jul 2004 00:39 GMT2
I wish to adopt/purchase a Chartreux cat or kitten. I really do like
this breed of cat and wish to obtain one for a household pet. I live in
Memphis, TN and would appreciate any referrals to breeders in this area
also. Thank you.
ethics followup: Not the same cat10 Jul 2004 18:24 GMT3
My wife and I went with great trepidation down to the rec center where
the neighborhood kid had seen the "missing cat" poster.
It wasn't the stray we've adopted. Much ado about nothing.
Well, maybe not nothing. It got me worked up again about how careless
MUST give away Tonkinese!08 Jul 2004 03:44 GMT39
We have a Tonkinese female, about 6 years old, that we absolutely must get
out of the house.  We want her to have a good home, but the Tonkinese rescue
group has not been responsive, despite repeated efforts for their help.  The
cat must go.  She urinates huge amounts of urine ...
Eskie in Pinole Shelter06 Jul 2004 16:17 GMT2
Just trying to cover all bases here.  I've also sent email to NorCal Sled

on the dog myself so ....

Stray kitten - feed or ignore?02 Jul 2004 20:21 GMT20
Well I must first admit I've already been feeding it all week.  It appeared
very bony when I first started, but looks more like a normal kitten now.
My concern is that this may be a female and that she will be bringing me
loads more kittens to feed if she is not fixed.  (I am way ...
