Extremely scary cat missing for 10 days - what can I do?01 Nov 2003 00:18 GMT4
For about a year we have/had a, declawed, about 7 years old spayed
female cat, Maisie, which we had obtained at a pet adopting weekend at
a pet shop in South St. Paul. Maisie is extremely scared of strangers,
dogs, etc. When relatives come to visit, she hides under the blanket

Black cat blackout for Halloween25 Oct 2003 03:19 GMT2
Be sure to keep your black cats indoors, as Halloween is
a week away.  Also don't adopt any black cats out until
November.
Lucy found a home!25 Oct 2003 03:18 GMT2
Ah, the excitement. I've had fosters for months now, and one of them was
finally adopted about three hours ago! DLH white w/ orange, 7yo FDC,
surrendered for box problems. And she got a home with a senior lady who
happens to be a neat freak and was very very excited about the whole

Bonjour.
Je pars vivre en Grèce (île de Syros, Cyclades) avec mes trois chats
adultes au printemps, et j'habite actuellement à la montagne en Valais
(CH). Je suis terriblement inquiète pour ce voyage : de la montagne à
Suggestions About Rescue Situation...Please23 Oct 2003 12:33 GMT13
3 1/2 weeks ago, I contacted a rescue group about adopting a cat  (listed on a
Petfinders site). The founder of the group is well known, locally. She was
profiled in the major newspaper here.  Two of the people assisting her,
however, were incompetent idiots.  I had dealt with them, ...

It turns out that my fosters had an upper respiratory infection- so, today I
had to turn them over to the SPCA to get put down.  If treated, it could
have been a total cure or someone could have a sickly cat for the rest of
their lives.
how to lure kittens from their underground nest?21 Oct 2003 20:54 GMT2
I am new in this group and last week for the first time in my life I rescued
a cat using a trap. She/he was an app. 16-week old kitten and used to live
around the graduate apartment complex of Lehigh
University,PA. She/he is already in a no-kill shelter. This week I was
Abducted strays?17 Oct 2003 21:16 GMT78
Hi. I sometimes lurk here - but now I need to know what other think of this:
I use/watch over an old auto shop of friend who moved away. Its often been a
temporary home of stray cats who come and move on (the location is in-town).
About 6 weeks ago I was there and saw an orange ...
Semi-feral kittens: separate or keep together16 Oct 2003 13:44 GMT1
I took in two semi-feral kittens, not related, in July, when they were
about 10 weeks old. They were in a cage for about a month, then moved
into a bathroom (with other kittens, all of which are adopted in the
meantime because they were friendly & social) for the next two months.
What to Do - Abandoned Kitty14 Oct 2003 22:44 GMT23
A number of weeks ago, we found this very little kitty meowing in our
backyard by our shed.  It looks like the offspring of a wild cat we had
living under our shed last winter (Minnesota, can wild cats survive the
winters here?).  Days passed and the kitty was looking very thin and ...

Everyone at work knows I am the one who feeds the cats on the grounds.
It's practically a joke. I spend about $300/month on food and supplies
for these animals. I have, with the help of others NOT in my workplace,
spent close to $2000 trapping, testing, vaccinating, altering and
kittens feeding alright, but still very hungry!!13 Oct 2003 04:41 GMT2
I have Anwen in my lap (my blue kitten) and she's sleeping....... :'o)
My fosters have graduated from the bottle to lapping to mashed up solid food
with KMR.  :o)  The local SPCA inspector babysat them on Friday when I was
out of town and fed them in a saucer.  They've been doing ...

Hi, I found feral 3 kittens behind my shed one hissed and spit at me when I

non-violent and I put them all in a sac and brought them inside.

I've spotted a homeless kitty....09 Oct 2003 22:30 GMT2
Hello,
Behind the apartments I live in, I frequently see a small black cat
with no tags or collar roaming around. I have tried to approach it to
bring it to a shelter, but it is too scared to let me come close
