Ping Phil: Re Feline Leukemia26 Jul 2008 03:58 GMT3
Sorry if this is long but here's the background.
A woman asked us to help her find homes for a litter of kittens, their Momma
and an un-neutered male stray that she had taken in. She has let them have
free run of her house and they have been interacting with the woman's
At whit's end with one of our cats25 Jul 2008 17:02 GMT3
We're at whit's end with one of our cats. We have four cats. We love
them all dearly. But one cat has been more difficult than the rest and
he's almost 8 now and shows no signs of changing.
The problems started with scratching at closed doors. He hates closed
Free dog/cat food for homeless animals24 Jul 2008 17:22 GMT1
On NBC I think last night I saw a web site that some of you might like, I
added it to my home page. All you have to do is visit the site answer the
trivia question for the day and 20 kibble peices will be donated to animal
shelters.
Fleas, fleas, and more fleas.24 Jul 2008 14:35 GMT3
I treated my pussy and she still kept scratching.  Today I found out
why.  This morning I walked around the house in the nude.  After
standing in one spot for a while I saw several fleas advancing on my
feet and legs.  At first I try to catch them and crush them.  They
Cat scratching his head - vet doesn't know why24 Jul 2008 05:50 GMT4
I have an inside only cat that keeps scratching at his head/face. The
vet says he doesn't see anything obviously wrong - no ear mites or
infection. I thought it might be stress (the other cats in the house
irritate him sometimes) but the vet said if it was stress, the cat
Green Stool24 Jul 2008 04:46 GMT6
I recently found dark green stool in the litter box. Anyone know what could
be causing this problem?  I am pretty sure it is coming from my eleven year
old cat.  Anyone suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.!! Thanks

Scarlett acting like she's in heat23 Jul 2008 02:38 GMT5
Scarlett was spayed at about 5 months old and she's now going on 4
years old. I caught her rolling around on the floor with her tail
flying wildly, like she's in heat, and the boys (both neutered, one
is her littermate) act like they try to mate her by biting her neck
Now she doesn't like her bed22 Jul 2008 23:26 GMT3
Miss Kitty ensconced herself in a particular chair shortly after arriving.
Since this is a somewhat shaky 18th century chair, I was happy to let her
have it, but purchased a fleece-style cat cushion to put on it to save the
seat. Last week I washed the cushion, and now she will ...
Cats and Water drinking20 Jul 2008 17:26 GMT5
Just an info post.  I see there are a few who've been having problems
getting their cats to drink much.
Here's what I do, gotten as a tip so long ago from another, I dont really
recall the circumstances.

My cat never shuts up!19 Jul 2008 22:48 GMT4
I have a Black American Shorthair cat. He was a stray and he just chose my
fiance and myself to be his parents about 4 years ago. We love him dearly and
we give him love and attention constantly, his food and water bowls are
always full and fresh, litter box clean, and he is very ...

Boo Update--IT'S BENIGN!!!!!19 Jul 2008 15:40 GMT16
Dr. Lewis just called, and I am beside myself. NOW I can definitely cry and
throw fits, but  happy ones.
We caught it so early there is no sign of cancer. It IS a mammary tumor
after all, but it is benign.
Changes19 Jul 2008 06:43 GMT2
This morning my pussy kneed my stomach and curled up against me in
bed.  She even let me put my arm around her.  This is unusual as she
often moves away when I try to put my arm around her.
Could this change mean she's not feeling well?  A few days ago she
