2 Cats Daily Dry-Food twice-a-day's amounts?31 Jul 2008 00:20 GMT24
My two house-mates (Pete and Fred) gained too much when I tried using
one of those feeders they seem to be nibbling all day long so I
decided to purchase a seven-day auto feeder a few months ago, set to
open twice a day at 6am and 5pm with heaping 1/3 of a cup serving at
Get rid of abusive poster's or how to achieve Newsgroup Nirvana!30 Jul 2008 19:10 GMT8
Usenet's very liberal policy/rules..it was never an issue in the past,
everyone enjoyed this freedom because people were basically
*intelligent about how they responded and treated others..they
actually tried to *avoid nasty flame-wars and if it got serious, they

Alino is our 18 year old (as of June 23) Blue Point Siamese, and just
the most sweet and dear little guy that anyone could hope to have.  He
has always been a BIG eater, very fond of his food, but never messy
with it.  For some reason, he has now started to dig his right front

and a clean bill of health.
I'm to give her a monthly breast exam, the vet did it with her standing up.
She agreed that in her experience 80% or better of mammary tumors are
malignant--she thinks because so many people feel them but let them go,
Cat colds--is urgent care needed?30 Jul 2008 00:09 GMT20
My cat has been making sneezing sounds for a few days.  At first it
was infrequent (a few times a day), and it sounded a bit like she was
clearing her throat, so I thought she had hairballs.  I added
Petromalt to her food to help with that, although she doesn't have a

Diabetic 10 year old won’t drink but is panting29 Jul 2008 17:38 GMT9
My 10 year old cat is diabetic but won’t drink. He is panting alot
now, and if you touch him he gets mad. The last time he did that (mad
at touching him) was just before we found out he had diabetes. He
keeps crying and trying to get into my room to go under my bed. It is
Why # litterboxes = # cats + 1?29 Jul 2008 14:09 GMT5
I've seen this axiom repeated in many spots: "You should always have
one more litterbox than the number of cats you own".
Curious if there's a scientific rationale behind this, or if it's just
a common practice that everyone accepts.
Tuna bad for cats?29 Jul 2008 03:29 GMT14
My aunt, who is a nurse and a cat-fancier, was over at my place the
other day and saw the cans of tuna cat food I had.  She told me that
tuna was actually bad for cats--male cats in particular.
Is this true?

cat urinating on the couch28 Jul 2008 15:46 GMT2
To try to make a long story short... in may I adopted a 2 month old kitten
while having a 10 month old cat in the house. I got the ten month old a few
months before this. The 10 month old was a feril cat and my fiance and I
somewhat tamed her to like us. When I brought the 2 month ...
Sudden Symptoms...26 July 0828 Jul 2008 03:13 GMT2
My brown tabby was fine until early this morning.  He slept with me
for most of the night as usual, he showed no signs of illness
yesterday at all, he was as perky and lovable as ever all day. He ate
well and drank well all day.  It seems to have started this a.m. My
Ping Phil re: Pregnant Cat26 Jul 2008 08:05 GMT4
I volunteer with a shelter and foster cats.
I have a pregnant cat who is eating hardly anything, and this has been
going on for 5 days. The vet says not to worry, but I'm very worried.
In 5 days she has eaten a total of well under a cup of food.
