Kitty Better!30 Jun 2008 21:10 GMT4
Thanks to those of you who responded to my post several days ago.  My
kitty, Hobbes, had two enemas a few days ago and is now finally
passing proper stools and eating without throwing up.  I have tossed
out the artificial plant he chewed up, so hopefully we won't have a

Baby food for CRF cat?30 Jun 2008 08:37 GMT17
I bought some baby food for Kami to entice her on the days she's not
really eating.  Usually, if I give her something she likes it gets her
started, but I really don't want to give her people food.  I bought
just one small jar of turkey to make sure she liked it and then I could

i'm new here. i have two female stray cats in my back yard that i've been
taking care of. recently i became a mommy of 8 beautiful kittens, 4 a piece.
the first mommy went missing for 3 days, so the other momma (toni) took to
feeding the other 4 in addition to hers. 2 of the kittens ...
Roundworm & Tapeworm treatments28 Jun 2008 20:10 GMT7
I'm traumatised, . . . but not half as much as the poor cat!  I simply
can't do this again.  It's not good for either of us.  But this is a cat
that occasionally gobbles birds, voles, & shrews and he had tapeworm
quite a lot as a kitten.  The trouble is, now that he's 4 years old ...
My cat is sick & it's killing me!27 Jun 2008 18:09 GMT44
Hi.., my name is AJ & I am new here. I'm reaching out for support regarding
my precious cat. Her name is Sable. Sable is the oldest of my kids. She's 18
(almost 19) years old & she is very very sick.
During the past 3 days she hasn't been eating or drinking, she can hardly
Prozac27 Jun 2008 08:35 GMT6
One of my cats is definitely insane.  I won't bore you with all we've
been through to come to that conclusion, but trust me when I say, he's
crazy.  He's been on Prozac for two months and it's been great!  I was
concerned how it would affect him, but he seems really happy and very
Twelve year old cat getting anesthetic...27 Jun 2008 02:11 GMT4
My 12 1/2 year old cat needs a dental cleaning; she has gingivitis, as
well as some tartar build up.
Of course I'm worried about the anesthetic; she had a dental cleaning 4
years ago. But there's a big difference between an 8 year, and a 12 year
Hot Spots26 Jun 2008 03:38 GMT7
I finally found a spray that actually heals Shamrock's hotspots
when he gets them.  Since the use of cyclosporine he doesn't flare
up often, but in the spring/early summer he does get itchy to the
point he needs some additional help.  It took a long time to find

De-chipping cats26 Jun 2008 01:25 GMT12
I had my cat Jack de-chipped.  I am so glad I did, too.  I have the chip
here and it is one mean looking thing.  1/2 inch long, sharp end, piece of
wire coming out of one end.  This is not something I would ever want in a
living body.  I posted earlier about the cancer rates in ...
Feline Anemia, Hemobart26 Jun 2008 01:19 GMT2
I posted a message a while back about my cat who had lost 3 pounds in
3 months, was not eating and borderline anemic. After about $600, a
lot of prednison and antibiotics, it looks like he is stablizing.
If anyone ever has this problem, please feel free to contact me about
Cat Sick25 Jun 2008 23:19 GMT7
I'm so distraught.  My beloved Hobbes is having problems and is at the
vet right now as I type this post.  Yesterday I took him in because he
had been eliminating (#2) outside his litterbox a couple times which
is very unlike him.  He's almost 14 and has never done this.
Vet's prices - going up up up25 Jun 2008 23:13 GMT8
Just out of curiosity, how much is your vet charging for exams? Mine
now charges $54 for a senior semi-annual exam. Last year it was $46.
All the other vet's in the area charge about the same. I think this is
ridiculous, the economy can't be that bad that they have to jack up
Mice25 Jun 2008 19:38 GMT5
Despite my ever-vigilant clan of indoor felines, I had been
visited regularly by mice.  Evidence: mouse poop in one room
in the basement.  I hated to do it, but I set several traps
in that room and kept the door closed.  There seemed to be
