Euthanasia - The Second-Guessing19 Mar 2008 22:22 GMT15
I'm curious as to whether any of you pet owners who thought you knew
it was "the right time" to euthanize your pet agonizingly second-
guessed yourself afterwards.
Two weeks ago today, my 12-year-old cat, Kelson, was diagnosed with
Frequent urination - other causes?19 Mar 2008 16:07 GMT14
I thought Meep was having a cystitis attack this morning.  She was going
to the litterbox every 10 minutes or so, but not actually leaving more
than a small amount behind.  She did not seem distressed or in pain.
So, of course, I called the vet, and called work to tell them I'd ...
Has anyone ever used a cat stair?19 Mar 2008 14:01 GMT2
Do you recommend any high quality ones?
Thanks to those who helped. :-) I appreciate it very much.19 Mar 2008 11:21 GMT2
Excluding, of course, ....the McNasty Cyber-PUSS..and old Matt aka
Scrooge who seems to have had his cage severely rattled. Ach, at least
he's awake now with, hopefully a little red stuff flowing.
Matt, whenever things just HAPPEN to go tits-up with
Update, Daisy and Cash18 Mar 2008 23:07 GMT2
Just an update if any were wondering.  As of today (5 days earlier than
estimated in a dog-free house) Daisy (cat) now decided her new perch is the
top of the sofa.  Since Cash's (beagle mix) is the sofa, she sits and stares
down at him from about 12 inches away.

Dry C/D food?18 Mar 2008 21:42 GMT4
My 5-year-old boy cat recently had a bout of UTI. (Actually the vet
said it was "cystitis", which I gather isn't necessarily an infection,
but might just be an inflammation with an unknown origin.) I've had
him on C/D canned food, eating separately from the other cats. He's
Momma cat in distress18 Mar 2008 21:38 GMT13
We took an abandon cat into our home and realized she was pregnant. She had
her babies (3) about 2 and a half weeks ago. Yesterday we noticed she didn't
look good. She was breathing heavy and her eyes look dialated. I thought
maybe she was dehydrated and gave her some water and food ...

This is what happens when you just assume no kill means good.

Still don't know if my cat's sick.18 Mar 2008 16:29 GMT12
So, Meep had a mild cystitis attack recently.  She'd continually go to
the litterbox, do nothing, but without the distress and urgency of
previous attacks where she had crystals and was blocked.
Recently, she's lost some weight as well.
Happy Birthday to...18 Mar 2008 03:09 GMT3
Shamrock, of course!  It isn't the anniversary of his birth, but of
his naming when I started fostering him. Mar 17 2002. He never went
off to any other onetruehome because as far as he was concerned he
already had one.

Cat Urine and Black Lights17 Mar 2008 01:40 GMT9
I haven't seen this posted yet... but perhaps I can do a search.
I am wondering if black lights really truly work in finding kitty
urine in places we otherwise might not be aware of.
I had gotten on the Internet awhile back and saw this suggestion, so I
