Shipping cat from Australia to the USA.09 Jan 2008 17:44 GMT8
We're heading back home soon!
I've done this before, but rules change.  Has anybody moved with their
pet from Oz to the US in the last couple of years?  Last time Meep
traveled with us the whole way as excess baggage, but I keep hearing
Pale gums, anemia and blood transfusions for cats.09 Jan 2008 03:26 GMT8
I was wondering if there was anyone out there who has experience with cats
suffering from anemia?  My cat had a blood transfusion a couple days ago and
her hemocrit (packed cell volume) level has dropped to 18 (where a normal
cat's is around 30).

Making Cat Food - Salmon Oil question07 Jan 2008 23:36 GMT2
I'm excited to say that I'm hoping to start making some nutritious and
yummy food for my cat soon so she can finally lose some weight and not
end up like our last 3 cats that died of kidney failure. She's only 2
years old, and I plan on using the recipes found on Catnutrition.org
Tiger's mat07 Jan 2008 14:35 GMT1
Tiger has had a bad matting on his left hip for a couple of months.  I
have tried a mat breaker, combs, brushes etc. but Tiger used to object.
With a wire bristle brush and persistance, I finally got the mat off
this morning.  Here is a picture of the brush that did the trick along
Swollen Lower Lip & Chin On Kitty07 Jan 2008 03:13 GMT7
My 8 year old male cat has a swollen lower lip, right where it goes
into the hair part of his chin. Looking at him he seems to have more
of a pink part to his mouth and pulling back the lip you can see this
swelling. I've added a link to a photo of another cat with where it is

Weird problems with my old cat06 Jan 2008 23:34 GMT9
Hi, I have a cat, 21 years old who is pretty much on her deathbed. She
started having labored breathing a couple weeks ago which annoyed me
wondering if she was suffering. I took her to the vet and the guy told
me she had fluid around her lungs and liver and this caused the
Cat Allergies And Itching?06 Jan 2008 23:27 GMT6
I was the one that posted about the swelling on my cats bottom lip and
chin. It was suggested it might be an allergy to his plastic dishes or
food. Wouldn't such allergies cause itching though? Still trying to
figure out what's going on with him. I'm not encouraged about reading
Styptic Powder Ingested - OK or not?05 Jan 2008 23:27 GMT4
I was clipping everyone's claws today and got too close to the quick on two
of Jessie's back toes.  This is the first time this has ever happened.
Jessie didn't seem too upset, but *I* was!  The clipper "kit" I had came
with a little bag of styptic powder to I used that even ...
Living Hell05 Jan 2008 21:06 GMT13
I don't know how to get my cats back on track. I have 5 cats, 3 0f whom
are using the litterbox. The other two are causing a divorce along with
an older (14) dog because of indiscriminate peeing on the hardwood
floors. The vet has not been able to find any physical problem with ...

Yay, Gabby's first kitten tooth!
The 2nd oldest daughter found it (she is the one who has suffered the
greatest damage from him) and she joked, "Maybe he won't bite as hard
now."
