Dominant female pushes male cat away from food14 Jan 2008 16:48 GMT2
I've asked some other cat owners & a friend who owns a pet store about
this.  I have a younger (3 years old) female cat who has an overeating
problem (gaining weight).  In spite of my placing 2 separate bowls across
the room from each other with food, she almost always will sneak ...
Bullwinkle's Echocardiogram - not good13 Jan 2008 17:50 GMT17
Bullwinkle had his echocardiogram today, and the outcome was the worst
possible scenario. Apparently, both of his ventricles are enlarged and not
emptying completely. I think the atria are enlarged too. The veterinarian
saw what she described as something "cloudy" or "smoky" ...

fine now. I just came to the house where my cat, and this morning he
comes into my room, opens his mouth to meow, and nothing comes out the

Our new Kitty11 Jan 2008 21:27 GMT5
We adopted a kitty about a month ago from the shelter, she's about 8
month's old. She is the most loving, adorable little thing. When we
first brought her home, she would come to both my boyfriend and I at
any time and now she really only comes to me. She sleeps with me, she
What to do With Old Cat Litter?11 Jan 2008 19:29 GMT33
Just wondering if anyone has creative ideas for what to do with old cat
litter that has been reused for months on end...
We have four boxes and use clumping litter with sifting pan liners.
Every week we sift out the clumpy bits, add a generous sprinkle of
Another question about my goof ball cat11 Jan 2008 13:57 GMT7
Whenever I pet my cat, he commences to lick his front leg or his side just
behind the shoulder. When I stop, he stops; and when I start again, so does
he. What's behind this curious behavior?
Indoor Cat Wants Outside11 Jan 2008 13:55 GMT7
Hi, one of my male cats (3 years old) has decided all of a sudden that
he wants to "escape".  My other two cats want nothing to do with "out
there".  As soon as we open the door, the cat in question, runs and
escapes to the porch where he generally freezes and we toss him back

Back in late February, my cat Mouse began acting funny.  Everything
began with her voice getting weaker and squeakier, and some lethargy
and a decline in her appetite.  Everything happened very gradually and
we deduced that she had a cold.  We tried waiting it out, but when it
Pretty Cool Message for Network TV10 Jan 2008 03:17 GMT1
I caught the end of the game show "The Price is Right" and heard Drew Cary
say, "Remember, spay and neuter your pets, it's the right thing to do."
Don't know if he does it every time, but I think that's great.
Cats & Revenge?10 Jan 2008 00:50 GMT10
My cat won't let my elderly mom eat in peace. He's all over her and
her table whenever I feed her. Last time he knocked her dinner on the
floor. I picked him up and carried him into the bathroom, and closed
the door until she had her dinner. He wasn't pleased about that, and
