A Dozen Best Practices For Dentists14 Dec 2007 05:00 GMT6
A few friendly tips on what patients (like me) enjoy the most about
dentist visits.  Take notes!
1 - I really, really love it when you hide in your office while some
flunky with a community college certificate plays "dentist" on me,
And now we are 313 Dec 2007 22:41 GMT34
I have been caring for my father's cat, Jade, a chocolate tortie, since
February.  I really came to like her in the last few months.  She seemed to
take to me too.  She has had a rough go of it what with stomatitus but the
depo kept it under control.  She was diagnosed with squamous ...
Poor Gabby, he ate some Ranitidine.13 Dec 2007 18:55 GMT8
Poor Gabby, he ate some Ranitidine.  As I shook one out into my hand it
fell to the floor and leave it to my pet tiger to leap on it and
swallow it in a flash -- it was odd to say the least, but the kind I
have don't have a nasty taste (at first) so I guess that was the green

Neutering leaves third testicle? Wait, what?13 Dec 2007 10:56 GMT1
Our cat Louis was neutered at an early age, as is the custom with
breeders currently, I understand. Six weeks, iirc.
At six years old, he gets very worked up when bedding down at night,
kneading the blankets, and then leaping on any exposed wrist as his

Today was grooming day in the Crews' house, everyone got mani's and pedi's

Demi, Jessie, Ozzy and Archer all like to get their manicures and pedicures
and get their hair done, they look forward to the treats afterwards.  Sammy
Small, southern hemisphere cat seen on Discovery channel,, can anyone ID?13 Dec 2007 01:01 GMT4
There was a show on Discovery or the History channel LATE last night.
It was ostensibly about trees, but they discussed the various wildlife
that live underneath the canopy.
Somewhere in a lower latitude they came across an elusive wildcat that
totally confused - question on overweight kidney problems and diet!12 Dec 2007 21:48 GMT2
Hi. My 15 yr old cat was taken to the vet with a problem on foot and
had toe removed due to a oesteosarcoma. Whilst being treated he was
also found to have early stage heart and kidney disease and is now on
Fortecol tablets. I have been advised by the vet to get him onto Hill

the Americans are doing over there!
Is there a better way to have cats put to sleep?12 Dec 2007 04:08 GMT15
I have two cats which are getting along in years.  They both are
relatively healthy, but I know soon I will have to have them put to sleep.
Putting my former cat was the hardest thing I've ever done.  My concern
is for my cats though -- I don't their last memory in life being a
Update on RED's chin lump12 Dec 2007 01:30 GMT6
thank you all for you thoughts, advice, and kind wishes in response to
my post about RED's chin lump.
The vet thought that the lump could be chin acne, a cyst, or an
abscessed tooth draining.  He put her on a dose of amoxicillin for a
Savannah Cats?10 Dec 2007 18:31 GMT7
Have any of you guys seen a Savannah cat?  They're bred from the African
Serval cat - and they're almost as big!  I think I'd be a little afraid to
have one of these guys, especially if I had children.  Here's a picture I
found, but there are ads in Cat Fancy magazine that show ...
