Update on switch to Natural Balance LID30 Nov 2007 21:25 GMT6
It's been about three weeks now since we switched our beautiful, sweet
longhair (looks like and may actually be part Tuxedo Van) with the licky
granuloma problem to Natural Balance LID. She was previously only eating
Fancy Feast canned (chicken flavor).
How long to cat trees last?30 Nov 2007 18:10 GMT12
I've had one of those carpet covered cat trees for around 10 years,
and the brownish rug covering the various levels appears to be turning
greenish. I'm wondering if it could be mold? I've had rugs longer than
ten years though and they don't get moldy. I really have no idea what
Should I toss out my pussy?28 Nov 2007 20:50 GMT19
She'll sleep in my bed.  However if she sleeps there during the day
she'll refuse to come in at night.
I'm thinking I should force her out during the day so she'll come in
at night.  OTOH maybe she really prefers to go out at night.
cardiomyopathy28 Nov 2007 13:54 GMT4
My beloved 17-to-19 year old male, "Tiger", was recently diagnosed
with cardiomyopathy (heart failure).  He actually seems pretty fine to
me (eating, drinking, playing a little, etc.).  I had no idea he even
had a heart problem but an X-ray taken for another reason happened to
Alex' s checkup28 Nov 2007 10:56 GMT23
Well, I took Alex for his checkup last Wednesday. Earlier in the day, in
preparation for the checkup, I checked his blood glucose and discovered it
was only 54. I phoned the vet's office right away to report that the cat was
hypoglycemic. (His blood glucose had been stable for ...
cat sometimes pees every 5 minutes but28 Nov 2007 09:57 GMT16
One day my cat acts distressed around the semi-neglected litterbox
then the next day he uses the litterbox or any convenient item, but
pees only a teaspoon or less amount of pee.
Cats can get noided when thier poo box is dirty and neglected and may
cat  eye problem.28 Nov 2007 04:17 GMT7
My female  cat  started very last night  with an aggressive  pawing at
her own eye, which seemed closed.   I could not see anything in there
when I looked  gently except it was obviously  sore,  She  settled on
my bed  for the night although her eye was closed, and all as  quiet

I tried replying to your email and got a bounce notice.  So, since I'm not
saying anything confidential, if you don't mind, I'll just reply here....
Thanks chickie-dee! I appreciate the support.
Yeah, we old-timers tend to forget that everyone here doesn't know the
Do not be fooled by posters here...27 Nov 2007 13:07 GMT13
All you vet techs, and other kmart vet staff out there aren't fooling
anyone by pretending to be only private pet owners. Maybe if enough
people follow your advice you can get $11 an hour instead of $10. Or
maybe if they don't, you'll be forced to find a job more commensurate

cats not eating27 Nov 2007 00:39 GMT11
In UK
I have two cats - both about 12 yrs old.  I give them a varied diet day to
day, but suddenly both of them have almost stopped eating. For the past 3
days now, neither of them have done more than pick at what's on offer
Calling the Vet first thing tomorrow.26 Nov 2007 14:19 GMT12
I'm calling the vet as soon as it opens tomorrow morning, but in the
mean time while I'm worried I'd love to hear your thoughts.
My 2 year old indoor female cat as a lump under her chin.
I noticed it late wednesday night, it was about the size of a pea but
Question:  Body condition of horse25 Nov 2007 10:43 GMT6
There's a horse that I've been riding and careing for once a week.  He's
an OTTB Thoroughbred.  His condition isn't what it used to be; the owner
has been going through a bad time, and for a while "wasn't able to" feed
him twice a day like she should.  No excuse for that; he ...
tail docking and declawing24 Nov 2007 12:26 GMT36
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/local/story/137778p-122499c.html
In the version of this story that ran locally, the lawyer for the breed group
said labeling tail docking as cruel was as silly as saying declawing cats is
cruel.
