Discovery Channel's "Dirty Jobs" on declawing cats.21 Oct 2007 14:53 GMT10
Mike Rowe, host and willing participant of Dirty Jobs just asked a
"master groomer" what his opinions on declawing cats were, while they
clipped a cat's claws.
The groomer only said that cats who have been declawed are definitely

Just brought my cat home after dental cleaning and having an absessed tooth
pulled.  The vet said her breathing would sound congested from her having a
tube down her throat.  Indeed her breathing sounds like she has a very loud

Buddy is dying - my old warrior has fought his last battle20 Oct 2007 06:04 GMT28
I am so sad to have to write that.  He threw a major clot this morning, he
has lost the use of his entire back section.  Legs, tail, bowels and
bladder.  He is on strong pain relievers at the vet's office.  His bout 2
weeks ago was a precursor to today.  I saw him tonight, he was ...

Archer's Broken Leg Update18 Oct 2007 17:58 GMT20
We finally got to the vet's last night (it had been storming for the last
couple of days and the vet's office lost power).
They took another x-ray and said the bone was calcifying nicely, but when
they took the tape off the end of his cast the vet saw that his toes were

Something wrong with my dwarf hamster?16 Oct 2007 20:57 GMT17
My dwarf hamster is acting kind of weird. The first week I got her she
was fine and slept in her bed. Then she constantly kept changing where
she slept. And now she doesn't even sleep in her bed. She just lays
somewhere or under her wheel. I give her a toilet roll so she can chew
Cat show this week in NYC16 Oct 2007 20:26 GMT10
The cat show is going to be at Madison Square Garden this weekend.
Once again I've failed to train Espy for the Agility competition. Too
bad, I'm sure that he'd win.
I always go with a few friends. I'm not into breeding cats but it's
Update on shy cat Gracie16 Oct 2007 15:37 GMT1
Gracie is coming out from beneath the bed where she likes to hide,
she likes watching the birds and has meow to tell one of us. me or my
wife to open up the blinds so she can see the birds. She has scented
where my late cat once marked her area, and has even jumped up on one
Can a vet give a second opinion on my cat's liver issues?15 Oct 2007 13:17 GMT13
My cat has lost half her body weight.  We thought she wasn't
tolerating her food any longer, and tried making changes at home for
too long before we went to the vet.  She has undergone personality
changes, is lethargic and vomiting, and is dehydrated.  I have a pdf
