| Why all of a sudden my 2 cats cannot get along after years of troublefree caring? | 14 Aug 2007 19:35 GMT | 8 |
I hope someone can provide me with some answers or advice: I have 2 cats, mother and son. The son was the only cat in the litter so we have kept him and they have lived together, mother and son ever since. The mother is now ~5 years old, and the son is 2.5 years old.

| My cat ignores me since visits to the vet | 14 Aug 2007 18:11 GMT | 8 |
A little history, Klondike, a female black and white long hair adopted us about 8 months ago. The first visit went well, shots de-worming, and treatment for ear mites. Fast forward about 6 months and it's time for her to be spayed. She's not too thrilled about the whole

| Meep's vet visit | 14 Aug 2007 12:15 GMT | 4 |
Well, time for yearly shots/health status update. Meep is so good at the vet! As long as she has an armpit to hide in, she's fine. Today, she even took her head out of my armpit and rested it on my arm, and laid there the whole time I spoke with the vet.

| Migraines with aura may be a symptom of heart disease | 14 Aug 2007 04:43 GMT | 1 |
The pain caused by migraines with aura is indeed gnawing but there may be an even more critical condition ahead. Studies show that people suffering from migraines with aura are at higher risk of heart attacks and strokes than those who do not get

| litter box area | 13 Aug 2007 14:56 GMT | 2 |
At the local Borg (the megastore), you might find large gray plastic grass doormats for about $10 USD each. So far, I have seven of them. After about two months of use, really enjoying them for our two litter box areas. They keep the litter off of your cat's feet and they are

I recently found two stray kittens. My parents won't let me keep them as pets, but they bought them food and are letting us keep them in the backyard. We've had them for about 4 days. I check their litter- they have diarreah(sp). It's yellowish and runny. I fed them ham, before my

| Cats and heat | 13 Aug 2007 13:03 GMT | 11 |
In the mid-Atlantic region of the US, it is sweltering hot, as it is in many other areas of the US now. The kitties are lucky being indoor cats as the temp doesn't fluctuate more than about 10 degrees either way during the summer, thanks to the AC. At night without the heat

Even when the contents are the same (i.e. H20) my cat would far rather drink out of my glass than her bowl. I don't encourage the practice, but it's hard to combat when, for example, when she is sipping from your nightstand glass of water and you are sleeping. Do you suppose

| Glaucoma in younger dog | 12 Aug 2007 22:58 GMT | 2 |
Does anyone have a dog who got glaucoma when he/she was really young? My mother-in-law has a dog who was recently diagnosed with it and he's only 2 at the most. He has lost sight in one eye and most of it in the other eye. Also, has anyone had a younger dog who went completely

| Advice Please: Stray Kitten | 12 Aug 2007 16:31 GMT | 127 |
I found a stray kitten near my house. I couldn't leave it outside.(A half hour after I took the kitten in a guy across the street who likes to bring his Pitbull outside to roam without a lease early in the morning came out).

| Please Help - 8 yr old Cat w/ Sore on Head | 12 Aug 2007 12:15 GMT | 16 |
This weekend we noticed our white/black *indoor* cat had a patch of his hair missing from his head just over the right eyelid. It appeared as a nail scratch from our other more agressive cat as they play fight sometimes. I applied some peroxide on a q-tip to the area. The next

| What does this mean, do you think? (nonverbal communication) | 11 Aug 2007 14:38 GMT | 1 |
I understand that cats communicate mostly nonverbally, and understand much of Meep's body language, after years of living with her. I just noticed a new one, and not sure what it means. It's a stare, quick head shake, then look away.
