Help with new borns31 Aug 2007 16:28 GMT8
I have a stray that has been living in my backyard since about
Christmas. We had a bad storm Tuesday early am and I awoke to find she
had just deposited 4 kittens at my back door. She was pretty wet even
though she had them under my walkway from my door to my garage.. That
Can anyone help advise me about my cat, Ian?31 Aug 2007 14:21 GMT3
Ok, Ian has had his ultrasound today and the good news is that there
is no 'obvious' sign of a tumor. Although the vet STILL doesn't rule
it out???
He has had a sample of the fluid taken from his distended abdomen and

why are some cats evil?31 Aug 2007 01:54 GMT1
I'll start with another question- why do you perceive some people good or
bad?
You judge on appearance, posture, manner, language, ideas and possibly
smell.

help with Manx chasing behavior30 Aug 2007 14:25 GMT3
I have a sweet Manx but I had to take in an old cat from my daughter
whose boyfriend is allergic to cats (she loves him, what an excuse :-)
Anyway, my Manx does not growl but chases her constantly. She hides
behind my bed, poor thing. He is also very possessive I think.
Distended Tummy - Possible Tumour?30 Aug 2007 05:49 GMT5
Ok guys, I just took Ian in and I had to leave him with the vet.
Basically he says he has a bit of a distended tummy (fluid in there)
and he wants to do a scan to see if he can see what might be causing
it.
Animals use the same language we do.30 Aug 2007 01:27 GMT14
I've noticed it with my cats.  They can tell you very directly, yes,
or no, when I ask them questions.  People don't usually think cats are
able to be trained, but they do have a way of communicating.  Very
often they will let you know that they want to go out in the yard, or
window, jumping out! ??29 Aug 2007 18:32 GMT5

Cystitis and excessive belly licking29 Aug 2007 14:38 GMT7
Regulars here know Meep has cystitis. I've been noting a thinning of
hair on her belly, about where her bladder is.  It isn't self-mutilation
- yet - it's just short hairs, but no skin damage.  I pointed this out
to the vet and she indicated that this could indeed be caused by
My British Blue won't stop hiding28 Aug 2007 21:42 GMT22
Hi everyone, I was wondering if anybody had any advice for me.
About 10 days ago I adopted a 2 year old British Blue girl. (I have
named her Burberry). When I first got her home, I followed all the
common advice of setting her up in a room with litter tray/food/water/

My cat Ian is really really lethargic still and has been two days
since he came back from having his teeth cleaned and a couple
extracted from the vet. He seemed ok at first, eating as soon as he
was back and purring when petted etc,,,now he just lies very still -

Does anyone have a cat with a hyperthyroid problem? Mine has been on
meds for some time but it seems now is the time I have to make a
decision about further treatment. Surgery, radiation, iodine
injection, whatever. Does anyone have some advice or information that
