Cats Winking Their Eyes04 Jul 2007 09:16 GMT4
Sometimes I will wink at a cat and it will wink back, same eye. Is it
copying me, does it mean anything? Do cats communicate with people
this way? I have noticed this with lots of cats throughout the years,
my sister too. Any ideas?
Pro-Plan versus Fancy Feast04 Jul 2007 07:41 GMT31
Alex was recently off his food for a couple of days, so my vet suggested
that I try (canned) Pro-Plan (for the sake of its ostensible palatability),
which I did. He seemed to like a few of the flavors. However, in looking at
the labels, it lists by-products amongst the first four ...
Licking, licking, licking04 Jul 2007 05:51 GMT3
I have added a new kitten to my family (three dogs, six cats). This
one has a habit none of my other cats has had. She likes to lick me.
A lot. Mainly in the middle of the night when she wakes up and realizes
I'm there next to her.

Kitten is losing hair03 Jul 2007 21:49 GMT4
We have just recently gotten a new kitten that came from a litter of
outdoor cats. She was fine for the first couple of days and now over
the past week she has started to lose have above her eyes and in the
middle of the top of her head. She is about 7 weeks old right now. We

Cats can trigger allergic reactions in 25% of people, say researchers03 Jul 2007 16:15 GMT1
Hi all.  I don't want to worry anyone, but this report in this morning's
paper is interesting news for us cat-lovers.  It certainly seems to
validate my concern about making sure I get the best vacuum for scraping
up all that cat-fur on the carpets and stairs!
Kitten's "Nose" Drops03 Jul 2007 13:21 GMT2
Someone asked, in another post, if there was something to give for a cat's
nasal congestion.  My vet gave me what is, actually, eye drops but said they
work well as nose drops for cats.  Going by this one experience alone, I can
say that their nasal congestion cleared up ...
Persistence with mats03 Jul 2007 09:26 GMT3
The past few years I have had to take Tiger to the vet to get
"de-matted".  This required sedation which was expensive as well as
somewhat risky.  This year I have tried to keep them under control.
Despite my efforts, he developed mats on both sides of his hips.  He

normal litterbox behavior?03 Jul 2007 04:48 GMT4
For most of her life, Meep has not had "normal" litterbox behaviour.
She'd poop only once every other day, and pee maybe once a day.
It's taken a while, but with management changes, water sources that she
approves of, and some supplements, I finally got her leaving "deposits"
Scottish Fold kitten seems lonely or in heat!03 Jul 2007 04:10 GMT139
Well yesterday (6/24/07) I met up with a breeder and got a 12 week
female Scottish Fold. We're keeping her in our bedroom (which is
plenty cozy, has everything she needs), but she doesn't want to leave
under the bed unless she has to. When she's under there all she does
