my cat is miauing and I don't know why06 Jun 2007 18:17 GMT6
Jacob is a 10-week old cat and I have had it for about 2 weeks. He adapted
to living by me almost immediately and he was a very sweet cat.
However, about 2 hours ago he started miauing constantly. I called for him
and he came right to me. I petted him a few moments but he jumped ...
nursing queen with fever06 Jun 2007 12:20 GMT2
My cat, a queen with kittens three weeks old, is running a fever and acting
lethargic. I have no transportation to get her to an emergency vet unless
absolutely necessary, and have no money to pay for the vet. What can I do?
Cat Issue06 Jun 2007 09:43 GMT8
I got a 1 year old female cat from a guy who didn't want her anymore
as he had a female dog, living in a 1 bedroom flat and basically the
cat lived under his bed.
I have subsequently had her neutered and my lovely tom cat has
Shamrock, you're breaking my heart, Love Bonnie06 Jun 2007 04:41 GMT12
(narrated by Bonnie, former feral, about Shamrock, one of my cats who
hates her for some reason. Some times it seems so bad that one or the
other has to go. I could never do that of course, but when he won't
even let her use a litterbox, any of them, something has to happen to
Spinal injury treatable?06 Jun 2007 00:19 GMT6
Hi all, some of you may have seen my previous post about my poorly
moggy Clyde. I was just wondering if anyone had had a similar
experience and if you know if a spinal injury is treatable? I've read
on the internet about complete rest for weeks on end, or surgery... if
Cheap Cat Tree?05 Jun 2007 20:25 GMT13
Louis, given his leopard-cat genes, is a climber. He's always on top
of the fridge, the buffet, the piano.. and when I take him for walks
he spots a tree and CHARGES it. He'll actually get on a branch, then
swoop around to hang from it with just his front legs. Maybe he's part

Cats changed bowel habit05 Jun 2007 02:30 GMT6
I have two 12 or 13 year old female litermates.  They are strictly indoor
cats and have only escaped once several years ago.
For about the last two months, these cats have increased their water intake
substantially, and subsequently their urine output has increased

Toy alert!04 Jun 2007 23:46 GMT4
I was at the grocery store tonight on the way home from work and saw
this toy in the pet food aisle.  It is a mouse on wheels inside of a
ball, sort of like a hamster ball where you let them roll around the
house.  I had to buy it.  LOL  Never get sucked into cat toys over
Ping Phil and Nomen: Just received HCM echo printout04 Jun 2007 16:17 GMT7
Thanks both Phil and Nomen for your expertise and advice regarding our
newly diagnosed HCM cat.
I just brought her in for her one week re-check and talked to my
regular vet. He is great--he told me that he sees a lot of cats that
raw diet ?04 Jun 2007 14:35 GMT1
I have two kittens, four and a half months, one male and one female
(not litter mates).  I have been feeding Natures Varieties Raw Meat
twice a day and Natures Varieties canned food once a day.  They are
extremely healthy, their coats are shiny, and they are full of
external flat ear growths04 Jun 2007 05:56 GMT3
My cat, about 13 yo, siamese-russian blue mix - sweet as can be.
Recently, we noticed that on one of her ears there are small, flat growths
protuding from the top of her ears.  They look like small, flat tab-like
things that are hairless but soft.  They seem to bother her when we ...
