Ping Phil re Metacam13 May 2007 00:35 GMT9
Amber has arthritis and my vet has recommended oral Metacam.  I have
read about cats dying from the use of Metacam.  Do you have any opinions
on this?

Onions, one more time...12 May 2007 15:17 GMT47
I accidentally let LB (that's Lucy Bunny... she's a nym shifter) and
Jupiter have my rib scraps the other night. Afterward I remembered I
had cooked these ribs with a small onion in the skillet.
>From what I've read, onions cause anemia? Is this reversible? It
Alternative types of cat doors12 May 2007 12:29 GMT2
We have had a magnetic cat flap for many years and had no problems
with stray cats coming into the house.  The type we have is where the
cat wears a magnet around her neck and the flap has a battery which
activates a switch when the magnet comes near, allowing the flap to
10 pounds!11 May 2007 21:06 GMT18
Just as Cybercat predicted, I now have a 10 lb cat hanging off my face
(suckling).  Levi went to the vet today and weighed in at this healthy
weight.  I was shocked!  He's slim and trim but very solid (except for the
belly pouch).
Toxoplasmosis11 May 2007 19:42 GMT1
The cat of our neighbours recently died. Bunny was losing weight and
was calm and depressed and displayed incoordination . Bob & Jane went
to vet I think he didn't do a good job because they have been there
several times and he could have known that these symptoms were more
Steroids for Kitty Arthritis11 May 2007 17:51 GMT7
Our wonderful kitty, Alino (pronounced Ah-leen-yo, like the spice) has
been having some problems with arthritis in his right shoulder for
just over a year.  On the advice of our vet, we have been giving him a
St. Joseph's children's aspirin once every three days, and that does

To see or not to see11 May 2007 12:48 GMT7
Let me just start out my story on how I aquired my foster kitten named
Roxanne.  I work at a hotel and we have stray cats from the area and then
seem to breed and birth on our property. There is one female cat named
Patches(by a co-worker) that is the alpha female that has all the ...
Update on Unusually small kitten & family11 May 2007 00:36 GMT11
I thought I'd let ya'll know I found good homes for the mom and kittens that
appeared at my home a few weeks ago.
As far as the "little fur ball" the original question concerned....he is
snuggled safely in my bedroom in a box.
Breathing Problem After Taking him to groomer10 May 2007 20:51 GMT4
I recently took my Pomeranian dog (Pookie) to a groomer for the first
time to get a lion hair cut. The lady in the counter recommended to
give him a flea bath also, so I decided it was a good idea. Well when
I received pookie (Pomeranian) He's hair cut looked bad!! But that
Pet Food Recall:  PURINA UR (MAYBE)10 May 2007 19:27 GMT123
Regarding the pet food recall and "what has yet to be officially announced".
I'm concerned.
Our cat, 13 yrs. old, his nose is starting to turn black on the skin.  A
cold?  He exclusively eats Purina UR wet and dry.
Where's the Programs?10 May 2007 17:54 GMT11
I haven't been hanging around the cats groups much lately and was just
wondering about the current "social dynamics" here.  It seems that past best
friends are current enemies and vice versa.  It appears that several old
trolls are back again and [possible] new trolls are here ...
