Music in Cars27 May 2007 00:52 GMT7
Are cats bothered by music in cars with loud, deep bass? My cat seems
to rather enjoy car rides and I play music. However, I was just
curious on the sensitivity of their ears as to whether or not they
would meow or something if they did not like the thumping bass.
Afraid to have my cats teeth cleaned26 May 2007 23:39 GMT29
I am so afraid to have my cats teeth cleaned.  I'm petrified of losing her
during the sedation.  She is going on nine, means the world to me, I'd be
devastated if I took her in and she died.  I've already lost two pets in my
lifetime to anesthesia.   I know her back teeth are ...
How do other cat's & Humans cope with the summer heat & climates26 May 2007 16:40 GMT34
We have a large patio door in our living room, which we leave open all
day so that we do get a bit of breeze IF there is any to be had. Other
than that, the rest of the windows in our house have to remain closed
for fear of the cats getting out, & either lost, hurt or never seen
Homemade catfood?26 May 2007 11:38 GMT15
If you are making your own cat food, what is your cat's favorite catfood?
I've been feeding raw ground turkey. At first she ate it for a few days,
then refused it. I tried again after a week and she ate only about 2/3 of
it. Next day I tried leaving the supplements - calcium, ...
Holly will be 12 years old next week26 May 2007 03:42 GMT3
Holly will be 12 years old next week.  Actually, I only know that she was
born in "early June" of 1995, but I decided that if the Queen of England can
select an official birth date, then Princess Holly should have the same
privilege.
kitty cleaning25 May 2007 23:45 GMT6
My youngest kitten isn't cleaning herself well. I've read a couple of the
other threads talking about it being a learned behavior, and while I realize
that is true, the older cat has yet to be a problem and both were born and
raised in a home where they were constantly around older ...
Fleas on Newborns -- Advantage Kill Them?25 May 2007 18:54 GMT13
My newborn kittens have fleas!  I've treated the mother with Advantage.
Would the little kitties die if I put just one drop on them?  I know the
directions say only for kittens over six weeks.

Update on cat with possible cancer25 May 2007 15:33 GMT2
I posted a while ago about my brother and SIL's cat with possible cancer,
they were debating doing chemo.  She had also eaten recalled food.  Turns
out, she has melamine poisoning!  I want to give a big thank you to the
person that gave me the info on getting tested for that.  ...
When cats attack!!!!25 May 2007 00:28 GMT2
Have you seen the video of this vicious kitty?
It's pretty good (and funny)
I have recently learned to type and navigate the vast wonders of the
internet with my furry little paws, so I have the video posted on my

Jupiter rattles the storm door when she wants in
Lucy lets out this teeny blood curdling scream when she wants out, it
is 100% distracting.
sometimes I wish I could turn into a big dog and just glare at her,
Adventures in home-made cat food24 May 2007 18:24 GMT11
After several days of eating it twice a day, Emily 'Bottomless Pit' cat
refused her raw turkey last Thursday. Back to dry food. I'll start trying
once a day again Sunday.
If someone would put out canned and dry cat food, no grains, absolutely
Cat sprayed in floor registers24 May 2007 13:41 GMT3
Greetings, I have a 12-year old tom cat who was neutered at a young
age but has recently started spraying around the house. He has
actually sprayed inside our floor registers, so that when the heat
comes one, the foul odor of cat pee is all through our house . I'm not
Ouch. What is that sound?24 May 2007 12:14 GMT29
This is more an anecdote post, but I'd rather post it here. I just
bought an iPod. Wanted one for a while, but couldn't see spending the
megabucks they want for them. I recently read that a good stress-
buster is listening to music.  It's true! I burned a lot of my CDs to
can cats learn words?24 May 2007 04:47 GMT51
I have 2 cats they are around 3 years old. They love tuna fish.
Whenever I say the word "tuna" real loud, they come running and
meowing loudly where ever I am.
Now here is the amazing thing. The cats know what a can of tuna is.  I
Urgent--uncontrollable cat diarrhea24 May 2007 02:48 GMT22
Hi, I went looking for a cat's health group and found you.  I'm
getting desperate and hope you may have some answers.
We took in a stray female in November, about 7 months old at the time,
and her and our male subsequently had kittens.  The kittens were born
