My cat Julian started throwing up late Wednesday afternoon and got very lethargic. He's gotten upset stomachs before. Thursday he wasn't better and I started giving him water by an eye dropper. He had stopped throwing up. Friday I took him to the vet to check for blockages. ...

| R.I.P. Peewee (1991-2007) | 16 Apr 2007 18:39 GMT | 28 |
By sweet boy is gone. I euthanized him today. He went pretty quickly. This morning I took him out and sat on the steps with him, and held him, petting his head and ears which he loved. He was purring pretty heavily and really seemed to enjoy it. The vet came a

| Hardwood floor refinishing and cats? | 16 Apr 2007 15:58 GMT | 24 |
We have two 17 yr old cats and we are getting our hardwood floors refinished next week. We humans have to move into a hotel for about 3-5 days but we don't know what to do with our cats. The hotel doesn't take animals, and we can't stay in another hotel due to expense (its a

| I dunno who to call! | 16 Apr 2007 15:05 GMT | 11 |
I keep running into this poor little stray cat in my apartment complex. He was born and raised here so far. I don't even think he's too-too old yet. The poor little guy is so thin and pitiful looking. And he's very hoarse. All the bigger strays I think beat him outta

| Understanding cause and effect (and cystitis again, dammit!) | 16 Apr 2007 12:04 GMT | 15 |
Had this errant thought when I was taking Meep to the vet today... Fact 1: Cats hide their illnesses as much as they can. Fact 2: When good cat owners notice their cat is ill, they take the cat to the vet.

| How much should I feed my cat | 16 Apr 2007 01:02 GMT | 4 |
I have one 35 lb cat (not on a diet) and a 12 lb cat. I give them 2 feedings a day. At each feeding they get a 3 oz can, so they each get 6 ounces a day, although the fat cat eats the other's food, so I'm sure it is more like 5 vs 7 ounces a day.

| is a cat with waist but dropped belly overweight? | 16 Apr 2007 00:35 GMT | 23 |
Hello, I know one rule of thumb for overweight cats is: if the belly drops below the ribs, cat overweight. Another is: if waist is thicker than ribs, cat overweight. Well, both of my cats, have belly dropped, but at the same the waists are indented, thinner than chest.

We've had Missy for over 10 years now and she's been known to have a temper like her "mother" (we have "mother/daughter issues"). That said, I think she's doing the following on purpose because she's mad at us. Here's the story.
