Cats and Fabric Softeners?24 Apr 2007 02:57 GMT3
I am just curious if anyone else's cats love fabric softener as much as one
of mine does.  Whenever I bring up my freshly washed laundry from the
basement, my cat Trouble is waiting by the door and jumps into the laundry
basket as soon as I put in on the floor.  He will cuddle up ...
6-Week-Old Kitten Questions...24 Apr 2007 02:51 GMT13
Just got 2 6-week-old kittens and we have a few questions for anyone
who is willing to take the time to answer them. We would really
appreciate it.
First off, we're feeding them only kitten formula dry food and maybe 1

Dear Valued Partner,
Urinalysis for melamine or its derivatives23 Apr 2007 20:05 GMT10
As I posted in another thread, I will be starting Alex on subcu fluids
tomorrow and made an appointment to meet with the veterinary tech. As
planned, I decided to phone the vet hospital to see if his urine could be
tested for melamine or its derivatives. The secretary told me ...
Fancy Feast - Goods Sales Ploy23 Apr 2007 17:44 GMT97
I had to go stock up on food for the girls.  Before going to Wal-Mart I told
DH that I wouldn't be surprised if Fancy Feast had gone up alarmingly in
price from the usual US$0.45 per 3.5oz can.  I was pleasantly surprised when
I found that FF had gone *DOWN* in price to US$0.40 ...
Smarter than We Think23 Apr 2007 13:47 GMT2
Boots is on Day 5 of her liquid antibiotic. She's really getting tough
to medicate.
For one thing, she has become a master at holding the liquid in and
then spewing it the moment I turn loose of her. I've had to hold her
Old Cat Sneezing...update23 Apr 2007 08:40 GMT7
I have called the after hours clinic.  A vet was supposed to call me
back, but hasn't.
I am going to call again.
D.C. doesn't seem to be getting any worse.
New Recall by Royal Canin Canada23 Apr 2007 08:17 GMT3
Please see www.itchmo.com for the latest recall.  Appears this may just
involve Canadian products but I am not sure.
UPDATE: The toxin found in these foods is cyanuric acid - not melamine. This
is the first recall attributed to cyanuric acid.
My solution to contaminated foods23 Apr 2007 08:01 GMT16
I ordered a book on making your own pet food that was recommended by
someone here. Should be here Monday. In the meantime I'm feeding canned
tuna & salmon. Also some many-months-old dry food that does not contain
wheat gluten or rice protein that she's been eating so if it's

Old cat sneezing22 Apr 2007 18:26 GMT3
I have just subscribed to the group.
I have a question about my 15 year old cat.  This morning D.C. started
sneezing and it's this gross, green mucus.
His eyes look runny and his nose is crusty.

Feline Bladder Stones22 Apr 2007 15:46 GMT2
Hello everyone.  I'm new here and want to thank you in advance for any
advice you might have. Our 10 year-old cat has just finished another
round of antibiotics due to a bladder infection. At this point the
infection has cleared up but she is still urinating frequently and
