Just wanted to say hi to anyone from Falun Gong.
Hi nutroot CL from China. Stop eating doggies. Stop pooping on the
food.
Me Chinese, me play joke.
Comic relief24 Mar 2007 17:27 GMT3
Here's a poem I found in the .sig of a writer in another group. I
thought it might serve to lighten the grim mood of current events:
"He looked a fierce and quarrelsome cat, but claw he never would;
He only bit the ones he loved, because they tasted good."
Other Litter Choices24 Mar 2007 17:07 GMT25
I'm thinking I want to get away from the clay clumping litter that I've
used for years.  I'm concerned because Rusty, for some reason in his old
age, has grown long fur between his paw pads on his feet.  If he steps in
the clay clumping litter while it's wet, it can stick to this ...
Fancy Feast24 Mar 2007 02:26 GMT13
Is anyone else still feeding with canned Fancy Feast?  I haven't seen
it on the recall list, but I stopped using it yesterday - just in
case.  Seems like they are adding to the list all the time.
However, every time I go to feed the kitty with hard food he goes to
Dates Codes No Longer Apply to Recall24 Mar 2007 02:04 GMT4
I just this article on cnn and here is portion of it:
ALBANY, New York (AP) -- Rat poison was found in pet food blamed for the
deaths of at least 16 cats and dogs, but scientists said Friday they still
don't know how it got there and predicted more animal deaths would be linked
male cat not pooping in litter box24 Mar 2007 01:18 GMT3
We took in a stray cat about 1 year ago, and he rarely poops in his
litter box.  He poops every day, and we give him a good cat food
(science diet md).  We got a cat cage/kitty condo and we put the cat
and his litter box and food and water in there when we are not at home
Might as well just buy the cheap stuff.23 Mar 2007 20:30 GMT27
Over 40 brands recalled.  If they're all made by the same manufacturer
why spend money on brand names?

Boycott anyone?23 Mar 2007 12:50 GMT67
I can't even get through to the number for the recall. It just says
circuits overloaded and has since the damn thing began.
I'm really pissed off, and I'm wondering if there would be any sense
in trying to organize a boycott of any companies that do business with
Over grooming23 Mar 2007 11:36 GMT4
Please can anyone suggest how a remedy to stop my 13 year old cat
overgrooming - to the point of baldness - over large sections of her
body.  She has become very restless as well and is constantly meowing
for attention and food.  she has also started to piddle inside the
Contacting Iams23 Mar 2007 05:47 GMT11
Has anyone gotten to talk to a live person at Iams? I've been trying
for several days and receive nothing but a busy signal.
This morning a bit after 9:00am the phone actually rang, but all I got
was a recording with an announcement that everyone was participating
Dog/Cat Food Recall on Almost ALL MAJOR BRANDS23 Mar 2007 03:22 GMT7
Most pouch and cat food is made by Menu Foods in Canada. Apparently in their
never ending search to milk the last buck out of their product, they found a
"low bidder" supplier who sold them bad ingredients from December of 2006 up
to last Wednesday.  They have a list of recalled ...
My cat Mocha- possible recalled food victim- may recover23 Mar 2007 03:04 GMT4
Here is an update on Mocha my 17 year old Burmese who suddenly
collapsed with kidney failure over the weekend:
First of all, Mocha did eat the recalled food- a lot of it. She had
been treated for an unrelated problem and had made a good recovery and
Peewee isn't doing so great.22 Mar 2007 22:34 GMT13
Just thought I'd post since so many of you have known me and my cats
for so many years. Peewee has CRF and possible lymphoma and isn't
doing very well.  I suspect it will be days, or weeks, at most.  We
are giving pallative care, and I keep hoping he will pass in the night
We have kittens!!!!!!!22 Mar 2007 16:23 GMT33
She finally went into labor this afternoon and had the first kitten at
around 5:00. #2 came shortly after and then she took a break until a couple
of minutes ago when she had #3. So far we have 3 little tabbies with white
on their tummies, legs and chins. The vet said that she ...
