Online Feline Meds19 Feb 2007 17:35 GMT1
I have a 20yo blue-point siamese that now needs daily subcutaneous
fluids. Does anyone have a trusted online source for lactated ringers
fluids they use? I have had unsatisfactory service from Vet Med Direct
and am looking for another source.

Fancy Feast discontinuing seafood filets in aspic19 Feb 2007 16:28 GMT15
I picked up a few cans at the grocery today; flavors I couldn't find
in my monthly shopping at PetSmart. On the cans was an announcement
that they're discontinuing the seafood filet variety. I can't find
anything on their web site about this. Mine like them a lot, even

Soft Tissue Sarcoma - an update19 Feb 2007 14:09 GMT13
Chooch had his MRI scan on Tuesday and I visited the hospital yesterday to
get the results. Not good news I'm afraid. The tumour is pretty massive
internally. The lump on his shoulder is really the "tip of the iceberg".
Internally, the tumour is too close to his spine and throat and ...
Anti-dust mite treatments19 Feb 2007 01:09 GMT6
Yesterday I got the treatment products to try to neutralize
allergens. I wrestled the mattress cover on, put on the pillow covers
(they're not as "plastic" as I imagined, and seem comfy).  I spent
the day cleaning my carpets with Simple Green and the allergen
Was this thing a tapeworm fragment?!18 Feb 2007 17:03 GMT2
I got a nasty shock tonight. My cat jumped on the desk, and rubbed
against my hands. After that I noticed a small cylindrical thing on my
finger...it was whitish, maybe 5 mm long, 1 mm wide, and it was moving
very slowly. A brief web search seems to suggest it was a tapeworm
WHO CARES!18 Feb 2007 11:11 GMT18
This is the most ridiculous web group that I have ever encountered! I
mean,in alll honesty, who actually cares about cats being shaved? Im
talkin to you,Sylvesters mom. The point that Im making is that you
shoudnt waste your time conversing with other people about such an

Hi, I am new here but I have a real problem. My home is inundated with
animals and they all get along fine and I have never had a problem, but this
morning my 8 year old son accidently let our 6 month cat Marvin out and
Marvin returned at 11:30 smelling like gasoline or kerosene, ...

Shaving a cat?17 Feb 2007 20:56 GMT11
Sylvester's mom here again.  I was wondering if any of you have long
haired cats and if you ever attempt to shave them yourself.
Bonnie, my 18 year old female, is getting increasingly matted, despite
daily brushing with a slicker brush and/or comb.  Her coat seems to be

Didn't grab the cat tonight17 Feb 2007 13:43 GMT6
He (she) seemed a bit skittish so I punted. I think the sight of the
carrier made him nervous. Maybe he's been in one before.
But I'm more determined than ever that he move in. He is so like Espy.
The same basic coloring (whitish face with dark around it, and a
Update: Feliway17 Feb 2007 06:54 GMT2
I posted a month ago re: our Insane tortie.
We have had Feliway for about two and a half weeks now, and we are
seeing improvement.
Frankie the Insane has become mellower. She seems to crave more
sudden death - does "stroke" diagnosis sound right to you?17 Feb 2007 03:02 GMT19
I am just heartbroken.  My beloved cat died very suddenly, quickly and
unexpectedly about 48 hours ago.  I'm doing some web surfing to try to
make sense of what happened.
She would have been 15 years old next month, and she was perfectly
