Accuracy of FeLV/FIV Tests?24 Feb 2007 21:23 GMT1
My sister and I have a disagreement maybe someone can shed light on this.
We have a three year old cat (Candy) that was around others cats, one of
which that tested positive for feline leukemia virus.  So we isolated Candy
for TWO months and got her tested for FeLV/FIV.  The vet ...
Colitis + Litter Pan Problem24 Feb 2007 21:19 GMT1
My six year old cat was just diagnosed with colitis. As she became
sicker, she stopped using the litter pan and I'd find piles in random
places (she still pees in the pan thank goodness!).
My vet gave her a cortisone injection to make her more comfortable,
rabid cat?24 Feb 2007 21:10 GMT1
I am kind of getting used to the cat attacking me but I'll probably
have to bring him to a shelter unless I can figure out how to stop his
attacks.  The last time it happened I put him ouside.  He stayed away
for a day and then was his sweet old self for a while when he came
A very SAD situation...24 Feb 2007 18:35 GMT5
Three to four weeks ago this cat came around (I live at the beach in
Sarasota county, FL). She got my attention through crying unlike I
have ever heard any animal cry.
This poor little kitty was truly in her last days. Suffering from

Hi - new to the group!  My name is Laurie and I have 3 cats - a 4 year old
neutered male (Calvin) we've had for 3 years and a 2 year old spayed female
(Twitch) who has been with us for about a year. In late November we rescued
a 13 year old neutered male, Jazzy, (along with his ...

Want a 20% off coupon?
It's pretty cool to have your stuff delivered to your door. And, after you
order they keep sending you coupons, sometimes for 20 and 25% off--which
pretty much obliterates the shipping cost!
Daisy's Complicated Allergy/Meds Problem24 Feb 2007 02:14 GMT17
My Daisy is a 4 year old Snowshoe Siamese.  She lives in my small studio
aprtment with her brother Mickey.  Daisy is a timid cat and she often growls
(deep gutteral growling) and hisses at Mickey.  Sometimes he deserves it, as
he throws her off the cat tree.  Other times he is ...
Good news regarding my CRF kitty24 Feb 2007 02:04 GMT12
Molly's been on amlodipine for a week to control her high blood pressure
(last week it was 220).  It was down to 99 today and we are going to be
cutting back her dose!  She's feeling better and I'm doing a happy dance!
My vet thinks she's doing very well for an old lady cat.  I ...

Will look for "Liquid Nails" as well, though a non-chemical fastener
Easily Chewable Dry Food23 Feb 2007 19:29 GMT5
Since our Snowy had some teeth out he stopped eating dry food.
It is too hard to chew with his remaining teeth.  He can eat kitty
treats such as Temptations which I can crush with my fingers.
Is there a better choice of dry food other than kitty treats that he
I trapped the cat 15 minutes ago!23 Feb 2007 18:54 GMT58
Someone here made the suggestion of putting the cat carrier outside
and having her go in to get the food. So I put out the carrier about
an hour ago, knowing that she always comes by just as it gets dark.
When I saw here (I'm pretty sure it's a her), I went out and put the

Frustrated about yet more stinky feet23 Feb 2007 11:53 GMT35
Rhett has had a history of getting infections on his paws, though
for varying reasons. Several times the vet diagnosed an allergic
reaction (yes, another with allergies!! :(  The last time she said
one of his paws looked burned, but if it was a burn, it could only
