How to care for a long-haired cat?02 Feb 2007 20:10 GMT5
We have been adopted by a stray long-haired cat - and we don't know how
to care for him properly.
His hair is so long that he can't groom himself - and when we took him
over we had to get him shaved by the vet.

I have one tabby marked cat.
I've been reading some of the posts, this looks like a nice sanitized place
to hang out. I got a subscription to usenet through my isp.
Odd behavior02 Feb 2007 16:43 GMT1
I'm curious if you all might help me identify what my cat is doing...
Over the past 2 weeks our cat, RED, has begun to do something that I
think is odd.  I left a pair of pajamas out and she kneads them with
her front paws -- that is not the odd part -- she also now kneads with

Ping Siamese Experts02 Feb 2007 16:26 GMT55
This beauty was an owner surrender- man said his "wife didn't want it
anymore".... . Owner said she's a purebred Snowshoe Siamese but didn't have
the papers. Looks like a Traditional Siamese with pure white feet.

Ear Infection?02 Feb 2007 14:17 GMT2
Hi everyone.  I have a question about my cat Jack.  I am bringing him to the
vet about this but not until this weekend and I was hoping to get some
insight into what could be wrong.  I am assuming that he has some type of an
ear infection because I can actually hear crackling coming ...

There is something I dont understand.  I just got back from the vet
with my cat.  I took the cat there to be neutered because he was
smelling up the house.  While he was there it was found that he has a
bladder infection.  Among all the things I was told on the phone was
Should cats drink milk?01 Feb 2007 21:32 GMT9
I have read that milk is vital for all young mammals, but dairy
products may upset digestion in some adult cats, causing diarrhea.
They suggest buying "cat milk" that overcomes this problem for cats
that have a lifelong love of milk.

Testing for FeLV and FIV - question01 Feb 2007 18:27 GMT1
How long should I wait to test a cat after it's possibly been exposed
to FeLV and FIV? I would hate to get a false negative because I had
the test done too soon.
Do your cats like milk?01 Feb 2007 17:54 GMT4
We have 2 persian cats; one of them (Liza) loves milk ... another one
(Murzik) does not even like the smell of it.
Do your cats like milk?
