How long does cat take to digest half- tablespoon of food06 Feb 2007 17:15 GMT3
I give my cat her pill by grinding it up and putting it in half a tablespoon
of food -she will not be "pilled".
Problem is that sometimes when I feed her she throws up (because she eats so
fast!)...so there goes the medication.
Did the vet screw up the FeLV test?06 Feb 2007 14:13 GMT4
A few years ago, I took a few stray cats to the vet to get their
vaccinations and annual exams as I had decided to bring them in the
house. I told the vet they were strays and I was going to bring them
inside to live with the resident cat. I said I wanted t get them

Sorry that it came off that way, but I meant my words in the kindest way.
What spoke to me the most is your ideas!
Curious new behavior05 Feb 2007 22:13 GMT19
Levi has a somewhat odd (to me) new behavior.  He's digging.  Everywhere!
He's not using his claws, just digging away.  It's cute, but I'm wondering
what is motivating him.  He does it on the bed, on the carpet, on the glass
door, and maybe other places.  This started happening ...
pimobendan for cat with DCM ??05 Feb 2007 18:33 GMT2
Hi --- I have a 3-year-old Maine Coon mix, Omar, who has recently been
diagnosed with idiopathic dilated  cardiomyopathy. His diet has never
been deficient in taurine fortified food, so the vets are baffled. I'm
still giving him 500mg tauring daily just as a precaution (as well as
Levi was neutered today05 Feb 2007 14:01 GMT17
We just woke up from a long, cuddly nap and he's asleep on my legs right
now. I haven't left his side since I brought him home.
I was a nervous wreck all day.  My vet called me right after the procedure
to let me know he was doing fine.  When I picked him up, the vet spent 20
Wow, my last litter is arriving right now05 Feb 2007 07:19 GMT20
It may be 2.41am in  the UK, but Momma cat has decided that it is time
to have her kittens.
She came and called me to tell me that it was time, & got me out of
bed to come and hold one of her paw's for her.

Is it possible for a female cat to choose never to come into season04 Feb 2007 16:30 GMT9
I was just wondering if it is possible for a female cat to *choose*
never to come into season at all?
I have been debating this with a friend, but we can't find anything to
tell us whether this is possible or not.
We have decided to stop breeding04 Feb 2007 11:58 GMT37
Quote: Who says Usenet can't change minds?  :)
After a few months of listening to other peoples point of view, & some
of the stories that I have heard on here, I have taken the decision
not to breed our Birmans or Ragdolls any more after our the birth of
Behavior, infection or ?04 Feb 2007 05:04 GMT3
Bill, an 8 year old Maine Coon, for years believe it or not, has only peed
and pooped once a day.  He seldom used his litter box as he would prefer to
be an outdoor cat anyway usually, if I would let him. When he peed it was a
huge puddle (you can't imagine).  About a month ago ...
Cleaning your cat's ears.04 Feb 2007 03:20 GMT5
My cat always needs to have his ears cleaned (which I do carefully w/
q-tips).  The older he gets, the more often I seem to have to do
this.  I have been told he could have ear mites and I took him to the
vet once - admittedly at some point after recently cleaning his ears
Follow-up on investigation of cat spa "launderpet" machine04 Feb 2007 00:25 GMT8

Sacramento HSUS office concerning the the YouTube video of the cat spa kitty

director to see if they can go to the Long Beach ...
How Is Madeleine?03 Feb 2007 13:53 GMT33
I haven't been able to stop thinking and worrying about Madeleine and keep
looking for a report on her. What is going on with her?
Best regards,
