Neutering a cat with FHV18 Jan 2007 01:59 GMT5
Levi is scheduled to be neutered on Wednesday, but I may post-pone.  He's
had an outbreak today (sneezing and coughing and watery eyes) and I want to
wait until he's as healthy as possible.  I realize neutering is not a big
deal procedure, but I know that the stress will be hard ...
REQUESTING A FAVOR...17 Jan 2007 22:50 GMT3
Could all you nice ppl help Ogie win this contest? He's contestant #3.
No cats have ever won, only dogs. He's in the lead right now, but that
could change very quickly. We can vote every day throughout this month.
THANK YOU  :)
wound won't heal due to scatching17 Jan 2007 20:17 GMT1
Hi,  My cat Purl was wounded (open abrasion) in what I am assuming was
a fight. By the following day it was clear that she was making it worse
by licking and scratching. The wound is right on the side of her neck
so I didn't think I should use a cone around her head. I have been
Cat puts food in handles of bowl?17 Jan 2007 16:49 GMT6
My SO and I have been puzzling over this one for years now.  We have three
DSHs, two of whom are littermates.  The third one is an unusual cat in many
ways,  just one of which is that she eats with her paws:  She puts her paw
on a piece of kibble, mashes on it until it is wedged ...
A Med For Tapeworms?17 Jan 2007 10:12 GMT6
Hi, I just noticed my cat has worms. They are white and look like moving
pieces of white rice. I googled them and I'm pretty sure they are
tapeworms.
Is there a good med that I can buy at the pet store, or do I have to
"There  must beat least 50 cats"16 Jan 2007 22:31 GMT28
Have you ever noticed how people always say "there must be at least 50 or 60
cats" when they see a colony of only 10-15 cats? lol  I got an urgent call
about a "huge" colony that the local residents were complaining to the board
of health about because there were "so many".  I went ...

Hi to all,
the message is quite long so I'll try to be as schematic as possible, I
just say here that I got 3 different diagnosis from 3 veterinaries: I
would like to have your opinion/suggestion.
How To Toilet Train a Cat16 Jan 2007 10:49 GMT32
You've probably heard of cats that use the toilet just like their
people do. How is this accomplished?
Step 1: Move the litter pan into the bathroom.
Step 2: Move the litter pan closer and closer to the toilet, until it
Persistent Urinary infection....15 Jan 2007 22:10 GMT16
My male cat (about 5 years old, indoor only, 2 cats in the house) has
been having a persistent urinary tract infection for about 3 weeks. He
was initially diagnosed around Xmas and was taken to the vet who took a
urin sample and diagnosed him with UTI/crystalls. He was given an
KitKat's Visitor15 Jan 2007 20:52 GMT6
There is a neighborhood cat (we call him/her Orange cat) that comes to
visit KitKat who is an indoor cat.  Orange cat sits on the window ledge
and just sits there.  It drives KitKat crazy..he meows and puffs out
his tail and gets all upset.  Then spends the whole night running to
Former feral CHOWS his food15 Jan 2007 20:03 GMT6
My friend brought a feral kitten into his home. The kitten is now about
6 months old and is VERY friendly, loves to be pet, scratched,
belly-rubbed, plays fetch, etc. He purrs like crazy when about to be
fed. This little kitten will inhale a can of moist food in under 5
PLEASE HELP! Fleas, fleas, FLEAS!15 Jan 2007 16:18 GMT22
We have five cats. Because of this unusually warm winter, our flea
problem has gotten completely out of hand.
We are not millionaires, and we can't afford the prescription flea
treatments like Frontline or Evolution even though we know they work.
