upsetting 2 year old27 Jan 2007 22:48 GMT21
I have a lady who comes to clean my home and she brings her 2 year old
along with her.  I have asked her not to bring him as he upsets my cats
and my dog.  He is forever chasing them around and this morning, he
pulled one of my cats' tails.  This was the last straw for me.  I
Learn a different Behavior!27 Jan 2007 20:59 GMT4
We have adopted to littermate kittens and they both used the same litter box.
Months later we got an automatic cleaner litter box and works great for 1 cat
and not so great for the other.  The OTHER cat goes #1 in there, but goes #2
in discrete little places around the litter box ...
Beware of cat27 Jan 2007 15:39 GMT6
Mr.Bonkers is a watch cat. When the doorbell rings, he is right there to
hiss, scratch, bite any stranger that comes into the house. He defends his
property with a vigor. Every other cat I have ever know has prefered to run
and hide when a stranger approaches. Not this guy. Lord ...
Making tracks!27 Jan 2007 03:58 GMT8
We are in the final stages of building an attached garage.  Yesterday they
poured the turncourt very early in the morning.  They opened the door to the
basement, not realizing the cats were in there out of the cold, and spooked
the barn cat.  She took off right across the ...
Female Improper Urinating... Wits' End...27 Jan 2007 01:50 GMT20
We've had a tortie for most of her eight years of life. For most of that
time we've had a Siamese male as well. Over the last three years we've
taken in three strays, one of whom ran off last summer, leaving us with
four of the little dears. Two males, two females, ranging from ...
Best Method for Declawing a Cat?26 Jan 2007 22:52 GMT120
Although I am against it, a new and rather expensive leather sofa has
raised the possibility of declawing my 3 cats.
If I have to get them declawed what is the best way to do it?
What kinds of questions should I ask the vet? What kind of equipment should
8 year old male with ataxia (wobbly back legs)26 Jan 2007 21:47 GMT8
I am distraught. I took my 8 year old male cat (Bon-sai) to our vet two years
ago for what I perceived to be a neurological problem. I noticed that he had
become clumsy, and the vet told me that he was obese and that that was the
problem. I was a bad pet owner and didn't get him to ...
Can't stand the pee ANYMORE!!26 Jan 2007 19:16 GMT3
I don't know how much longer I can stand the smell of cat pee!  I have dealt
with it for a year and 18 days (give or take a few)!  My cat is 7 years old
and she is peeing in the guest bathroom on the floor, which is where the
litter box is.  I put a rug down so I could at least wash ...
what is feliway?26 Jan 2007 14:13 GMT3
I was looking in the archives regarding compulsive licking in cats.
I have two and one of them licks excessively.  That said I saw in a couple
posts that giving Feliway is helpful - what is that?
and if anyone wants to tackle the other problem - stewie licks all day - but

Spray smell but doesn't linger26 Jan 2007 07:27 GMT3
I just recently rescued a cat from our local SPCA.   The cat was just
neutured, he is about 1 year old and i don't know his history.  We
brought him home last night and he has since started to smell
faintly(to me at least my wife says strongly).  It smells like he
Odd behavior26 Jan 2007 01:04 GMT1
I'm curious if you all might help me identify what my cat is doing...
Over the past 2 weeks our cat, RED, has begun to do something that I
think is odd.  I left a pair of pajamas out and she kneads them with
her front paws -- that is not the odd part -- she also now kneads with
Ongoing litter box problem.  Medical help not yet working.25 Jan 2007 14:48 GMT7
I'm hoping someone has experience in a similar situation and may offer
advice regarding chronic idiopathic cystitis:
"Mister Stripes" is a 2-year-old neutered male, rescued feral, whom we
adopted from a shelter last April, along with his sister "Miss Possum."
Relocating an elderly cat25 Jan 2007 11:09 GMT17
My mother had a stroke and has to go to a nursing home. She probably
will not go home again. Her cat Molly is 22 years old and in excellent
health. She has had a place of her own all her life with no other
animals and constant human companionship.
