One Measure of Our Humanity24 Dec 2006 02:24 GMT1
is how we treat those weaker than we are.
those who have to take whatever we hand out, whether it is indifference,
brutality, or kindness.
Cats are in there. So are dogs, children, and the sick and old, the
kittens and home improvement24 Dec 2006 01:09 GMT2
I got a wild hair and decided to replace the chandolier and 3 ceiling light
fixtures today.  Levi loved all the boxes, styrofoam and wires.  Of course
he wanted whatever *I* was working on at the time.  So just as I got to the
tricky part where I had the new chandolier balanced ...
My Toma girl has passed...23 Dec 2006 20:24 GMT15
My beloved Toma girl passed away 1 week ago today. She was 15 yrs & 4
months old.
On Dec.15th, 2006, at 3:45 PM, my beloved Toma girl was put to sleep while
I gently held her still. She passed after her long 2 year battle with CRF -
cat with infected bite23 Dec 2006 19:37 GMT1
I have a semi feral female, 3 yrs old (spayed, vaccinated). 2 wks ago she
got 2 nickel sized bites on her hind hip area and took her to the vet. He
said they were infected and abscessed and he gave her a shot of antibiotic,
shot of anti-inflammatory and a wk's worth of antibiotic ...
Help!  My kitten is limping23 Dec 2006 14:08 GMT18
I tried to get an appt at vet.  Left mesg on their ans machine but they
never called back.  It seems emergencies always happen on weekends when it's
harder to get care for an animal or even human.
Kitty has been limping and licking/ favoring his left paw. When I try to

sort of OT: so-called poor people23 Dec 2006 02:01 GMT30
People who post here about being too poor to take their cat to the vet or
buy some feliway (or whatever) really piss me off.  LEARN TO BUDGET.  I
realize there are truly poor people in the world, but if you have a
freakin' internet connection and a computer, you are NOT one of ...

Why does my cat pee after I vacuum?23 Dec 2006 01:43 GMT4
My cat happily pees in her litter box 99% of the time but any time I
vacuum or any time I change her litter (with the same brand of litter
and bags) she will inevitably pee on the floor.  I have heard of cats
who will pee on the floor if things are too dirty in the litter tray
fur mouse addiction!22 Dec 2006 23:16 GMT2
Hi. My cat adores the little fur mouse toys. What he likes to do is eat all
the fur off of them and then chew and play with the plastic mouse inside
until it's just a little shred of plastic. Unfortunately my vet says that
it's a bad idea because he could develop an intestinal ...
My cat is eating now!  Thanks!22 Dec 2006 19:57 GMT5
My cat that was hiding for 4 days ate in front of me today after I
layed in the closet with her for a half an hour.  This is a few hours
after the feliway too so I think that helped.
I could cry, I am sooo relieved!
Now feeding outdoor cats22 Dec 2006 15:01 GMT13
The other day there was a cat in the bushes outside my house when I
walked past. He (I'll assume He so I don't call it an it) didn't run
away as I expected, just retreated a bit. It was dark but he appeared
to be a big orange guy. When I looked out a few minutes later, he was
cat licks air22 Dec 2006 13:23 GMT27
So, what does the vet say? I am making an appt for my kitty tomorrow,
she is insane. I can pat her back side as HARD as I can and she will
take it, she will lick the air and purr loudly. When I say slap her
backside, I mean HARDER than you can imagine, she loves it! There has
Litter Issues22 Dec 2006 13:11 GMT41
Hey all, I am fairly new here, so this is my first question:
My cat will not cover her "business" in the litter box and worse will
kick poo out of the box from time to time.  Any hints on how to get her
to keep her poo in the box and covered???  Thanks for anything you can
