my kitty keeps throwing up!07 Dec 2006 11:08 GMT3
Hi!  My little cat has a bad habit of gulping down her food and the
throwing it right back up again about 5 or 10 minutes later.  When sh
vomits, it's obvious that she hasn't even chewed her food, because it'
whole pieces of cat food.  It doesn't matter if I give her dry or canne
Timid cat07 Dec 2006 08:53 GMT14
It's been years since I checked into rec.pets.cats, but it used to be a
good place for advice and I hope it still is with its new (to me) branch
groups.
I received a cat this weekend.  It was a stray that my neighbor caught
What's wrong ?07 Dec 2006 07:06 GMT2
Last week we observed that one of our cats, a 1½-year-old female, went to
the litterbox almost constantly, approximately 5 times/hour. We immediately
thought of inflammation of the bladder, but after tests at the vet it's
clear, that it's not the issue.

I'm in Denver this week and my mother is staying with my children and
my animals.  She sent me an email this morning and told me that Rudy
opened the door to her bedroom in the wee hours last night and that he
and Levi went in and started playing on her.  Heheh.  No sympathy here.
a safe christmas for the kitties - 07 Dec 2006 03:56 GMT12
I'm concerned about my cats being around the christmas tree - we have glass
ornaments and one of our more "spirited" cats is a jumper and climber and
likes to chew on things - I don't want him getting electrocuted from the
lights or rip down the tree from climbing around on it  - I ...
Tweaker -- bladder infection, Baytril06 Dec 2006 23:42 GMT20
I haven't been following this group because I've had my hands full...
I had to go to the mainland to have my appendix removed, and the day I
was released, my tenants contacted me and told me Tweaker was pissing
blood.  I had them put him on a plane and got him to the vet right
sneezing & stuffy nose in cat06 Dec 2006 21:57 GMT6
Yet another question from me.  It's about Simon, who had surgery early
Thursday morning after swallowing a needle and thread.  He's been home
since Friday and was doing well, but last night I noticed he was
sleeping more and he didn't eat as much as he normally did.  His temp

I'd bet you haven't seen this before!06 Dec 2006 19:05 GMT22
I think they planned this:

Spot discovers snoring...06 Dec 2006 18:24 GMT1
... and it's hard to figure what he is *really* thinking about it. Several
months back, in what I though to be an isolated incident, I woke up and Spot
had his paw wrapped over my lower lip and teeth, pulling downward while
peeking into my mouth. Recently though, he's been ...
after surgery questions05 Dec 2006 09:23 GMT10
Okay, maybe I'm worrying too much, but Simon's acting kind of weird.
He's the cat who swallowed needle and thread the other day ("cat
swallowed needle" post).
I haven't called the vet because the weird stuff is admittedly slight,
this is why I can't have no friends05 Dec 2006 00:54 GMT3

See you later, Pooka!04 Dec 2006 23:52 GMT23
In 1994, I adopted a 4-month old brown tabby kitten.  I named
him Pooka, taken from "Puccha" - the Sanskrit word for cat, so
says my Purina cat book.  I fell in love with Pooka the moment
I first saw him, and he seemed to feel the same about me.  We
Third eye lid visible - lots of sneezing04 Dec 2006 21:39 GMT4
Had kitty to vet last week for leukemia test and was negative.  Got first
part of leukemia shot.  He's been sneezing and his third eyelid is visible.
I never noticed that in the 8 years I've had him.  His eyes don't look
healthy.  He had diarrhea as did my other two kitties.  I gave ...
Christmas Tree04 Dec 2006 20:12 GMT9
Well we just got our Christmas tree today and Clyde has already
explored all around it. We know for a fact that when we put ornaments
on the tree that he will be going crazy and playing with them all the
time. I was just wondering if there is anyway to stop him from doing
