| One of my colony died. | 12 Nov 2006 02:46 GMT | 5 |
One of the four tabby kittens that was part of the recent TNR died. I found her laying under our outdoor glider when I came home from work tonight. There weren't any signs of injury, nor had she appeared to be sick. The last I'd seen of her was Wednesday and she was just fine ...

| Is feline distemper always fatal in 2 month old kittens? | 12 Nov 2006 00:19 GMT | 1 |
Last week I got a 2 month old kitten from the Animal Welfare shelter. I brought her in today with a stool sample because she was vomiting and didn't seem to be eating much. They told me she had feline distemper and that it's fatal. Long story

| Vetenarian 'killer' | 11 Nov 2006 23:29 GMT | 1 |
Sorry for the crossposts. I just now checked out the cat groups but didn't really see which one would be best, nor how much overlap there is. My 15-year old, Sadie Bugbane, was abused on her first trip to the vet, and since then it is almost worth the vet's life to take her in the ...

| Feral Male brings Kitten to My Doorstep | 11 Nov 2006 22:47 GMT | 2 |
We've been leaving food our for a feral male cat in our neighborhood. He's youngish, about a year and a half. Today he came strolling up the street with a kitten in his mouth. He dropped it next to our porch and wandered a little ways off to sun himself. The kitten is frightened, ...

| Sick cat | 11 Nov 2006 20:58 GMT | 7 |
Grady will be 16 this coming spring (if he lives that long) and I am very concerned. I've had him in and out of the vet frequently these past few months. Grady is/was a very large cat, at his prime, he weighed 20 lbs and not because he was overweight. He's just a very large cat. ...

| New Vet | 11 Nov 2006 16:25 GMT | 13 |
I just changed vets, because the last time I was at the vet, I just felt really uncomfortable. They did not do anything they don't usually do, they did not NOT do anything they usually do ... I just always leave there with less than a feeling of confidence. (Phil, you recall ...

| Pitchers :D | 11 Nov 2006 16:21 GMT | 11 |
I was sneaky and managed to capture the nightly ritual my husband and Gracie go through. First, he chases her down and she squirts up on the bed being submissive like she thinks he is going to kill her. Then he pets her a little, and just holds his hand up, and she does this very ...

| Astonishingly smelly poops | 10 Nov 2006 23:08 GMT | 5 |
Nipsy (big long haired boy about 3 years old) never has been very good about covering his poop or piss. I generally end up doing it. The past few weeks I've noticed that his poops are really getting stinky. They've never been very pleasant but I'm pretty sure that it's getting

| Costco snacks | 10 Nov 2006 17:12 GMT | 1 |
I purchased at Costco what looks like an excellent snack product called Chicken Jerky..it says it's for dogs but my cats LOVE it,it's sliced like bacon strips and it's 100% chicken with no additives that I can find. I put a strip of it out for our dog and Pete the cat grabbed it

My Cat is 1 /12 years old, shes is spayed, got her UTD shots and the past couple of months I noticed she scratches, bites and pulls her hair out, and leaves bald spot/patches on the back area and her hind legs, even her tail. I do not know what is causing this but I cannot afford to ...

| Christmas gifts for cat owners? | 10 Nov 2006 06:52 GMT | 6 |
It's that time of year where I need to be thinking about buying Christmas gifts for those "hard to shop for" people (the ones who already have everything). I've got three relatives who have cats and I was thinking about buying a cat related present or something for the
