Can stress cause this?20 Nov 2006 00:37 GMT8
Had 3 16 year old cats...2 have passed away in the last 3 months.  The
last one started getting very lonely..crying all the time and just not
being himself.  They didn't grow up together...the 2 that passed were
mine and the other is my wife's...we put them together 2 years ago and
more on Hyperthyroid cat19 Nov 2006 21:13 GMT13
We had more lab work done and it came back possitive on the hyperthyroidism.
Willie is on the meds.
I'm having a really hard time posting to this newsgroup with my news rover
so I'll keep it short.
Should Cat Stay on Anitrobe??19 Nov 2006 19:07 GMT4
I posted below my original post on the Stomatitis/Gingivitis - no
response yet so thought I'd put up new post. While I call around next
week and get a second opinion on how to get a diagnosis and, then
proceed to the  way to treat my cats gum inflammation (other than
Feline Stomatitis or Gingivitis???19 Nov 2006 18:16 GMT5
I need some advice - Several weeks ago I noticed that my cat's gums had
become very red and inflammed. I look at her mouth fairly regularly and
was surprised to see this inflammation. She is still eating, but is
leaving some food during the second feeding, and occassionally has been
Something's up with my cat...takers?19 Nov 2006 06:38 GMT2
My cat, Secret Mouse, usually loves me to death.  I mean we're
seriously down.  We hang out all the time.  Lately, he's gotten really
mean and grumpy.  He doesn't want anything to do with me, and has
started getting mad when I touch him.  Tonight, while scratching his
Russian Blue will not use litter box any longer19 Nov 2006 03:36 GMT4
Help!
We have a 2 year old Russian Blue that has decided she no longer needs
to use a litter box.  We have had her since May, purchased from a
cattery in NC, and also have an older cat in the house.  The new cat
Preventing a catfight?19 Nov 2006 00:36 GMT4
Our newest cat, Chloe, has more or less been integrated into the
household. It's not the outcome I would have wanted - she and the
other cats keep their distance - but there's no killing. Well, not
much.
Does relaxation music work?18 Nov 2006 13:47 GMT5
Do those relaxation cds for pets really work? All the consumer reviews
I've seen say they do but the whole idea of music relaxing an animal
seems strange. I tried playing the samples for one of my cat's who's
uptight and it seemed to have a positive affect but it could've been a
Teeth Problems18 Nov 2006 05:18 GMT17
I'm new here and just wanted to post and see if anyone had an experience like
I am currently having.
I have a 4 year old kitty with a history of mouth pain, extremely inflamed
gums. She has an autoimmune response to any amount of tartar, etc., on her
Will they ever get along again? (little long)17 Nov 2006 21:46 GMT10
Here's the story.  I have 2 cats...cat A is 3 years old.  I've had him since
he was a kitten.  About 8 months ago, I adopted cat B who is now just over a
year old.  It took a little while for the 2 to get along, and while they
aren't best friends, they do play together and get ...
Oral hygiene chews for cats.17 Nov 2006 10:14 GMT3
We are paying a small fortune at the vet's for cat chews. (about $.50 each).
The cat was a stray that needed a lot of special care to recover and these
are easy on his system.
They are cylindrical with the diameter of a man's little finger and about
Adopting another cat17 Nov 2006 03:08 GMT9
Now that we're down to one cat again, I thought it might be good to
adopt another cat or kitten.
I find myself going more toward a young cat as opposed to a kitten
because I know most people adopt kittens first.
Male cat acting like he's in heat16 Nov 2006 22:28 GMT9
OK, I know males don't go in heat....but, this has
me puzzled.
About 3 weeks ago a little stray half starved cat came to my
door and I fed it.
Giving Kitty A Bath16 Nov 2006 21:05 GMT3
I would rather have another root canal but ... Snowy is not grooming
like he used to and his beautiful white coat is clumping and looking
shabby.  How do you bathe a cat? ( He jumped into the bathtub when
a kitten which didn't help his natural distaste for water.)
