spaying fears..22 Nov 2006 14:33 GMT12
My 6 month old kitten has an appointment this Friday to get spayed. I have
never had a cat before and quite frankly I'm scared as hell that she's going
to die or get an infection or that her stitches will get torn.
My first question is: they said it would be $70 for the surgery if ...
Charlie is not doing well...22 Nov 2006 03:57 GMT24
He started weezing and his nose is all stuffed up. I brought him to the
vet again this AM. He was given more IV fluids, another antibiotic for
a week and some drops for his nose and eyes. The vet said it doesn't
look good. He is a frail, weak kitty. I am going to try to get him to

This sucks.
He's spending the night being catheterized at the vets. He's a very
large nuetered male. He may come home tomorrow with or w/o the
catheter. After this, we expect him to be either blockage free or at
Problems21 Nov 2006 23:48 GMT1
Hi, I have two cats, one old timer who is a siamese and a ten week old
kitten who is of unknown parentage. I have been told the older siamese
has kidney problems and needs a special diet but the kitten keeps
eating it and seems to prefer it to her kitten food. I am wondering if
stopped using cat tree?21 Nov 2006 18:07 GMT5
why would they do that?  I didn't move it, haven't changed it's
position, no new animals in the house or people, they used to love it,
went nuts over....it's not yet a year old...the first couple days they
wouldn't touch it....I put it near the window, that made all the
yowling in the middle of the night21 Nov 2006 11:56 GMT4
we just moved. my dear Buddha, who is a 14 yr old adult male tabby, has
taken to yowling in the middle of the night. even if I shut him out of
the bedroom, he still meows loud enough to be heard through the door
and wake me and my non-cat-loving husband in the middle of the night.
Help!  My new kitty just diagnosed with Leukemia21 Nov 2006 00:46 GMT5
I'm wondering if anyone else has been through this.  I adopted a cat that my
former neighbor brought home from work.  Said kitty had been abused and so
he decided to take it home but then he moved away and I took the kitty in,
albeit I have two adult cats.  Kitten is about four ...

My Chick is Gone20 Nov 2006 15:03 GMT15
I don't know what happened.  I went to feed my kitties this morning.  She
didn't come.  I called her, and she didn't come.  I looked all around in
her favorite places.  I found her lying there under the guest bed.  She
was fine yesterday.  She ate, she played, she wanted petting. ...
Any experience with interferon treatment for feline stomatitis/faucitis?20 Nov 2006 13:49 GMT2
I am currently fostering a six-year old siamese cat with mild
gingivitis and severe stomatits + faucitis. Has never received any
treatment including vaccinations from his former owners, so we are
starting at scratch here but are assuming calicivirus as the primary
Siamese going gray20 Nov 2006 01:31 GMT3
My 12 year old Traditional Siamese, who has looked like a kitten his
entire life, is quickly going gray on his body all of a sudden.  :-(  He
developed diabetes this year, probably as a result of the prednisone shots
he had to get to stop himself from scratching all his fur off ...

Timid kitten question20 Nov 2006 01:08 GMT2
Adopted a kitten (Timber) about 2 weeks ago (with another
one...different litter).  Every time we approach Timber, he runs away.
When he's tired, we can approach him and he purrs...he also rubs
against us when we're sleeping and lays on my pillow.  He also plays
