Info on non-surgical sterilization drugs for cats and dogs26 Oct 2006 03:35 GMT13
The drugs discussed in this website could have huge impact in poor
countries and would be great to use in feral populations here in the
US.  They aren't perfect, so more research is needed to improve such
drugs.

Preventing mats26 Oct 2006 00:56 GMT23
I had to have Tiger shaved back in June to get rid of a lot of bad mats.
I want to get a grooming brush that will help me to prevent future mats.
What is the best one for this purpose (Zoom Groom)?  TIA

Elavil (amitriptyline) for cat pain management?25 Oct 2006 20:24 GMT3
Anyone have any experience of this for cats? Vet suggested it fo
Sunny's arthritis. Hugely ironic really, as I take it myself fo
depression, but obviously that doesn't tell me anything about ho

"Talking/Meowing" cat at night - getting no sleep!25 Oct 2006 18:49 GMT7
We recently adopted a 3 year-old neutered male cat. We've had him for 2.5
weeks now.
He's a talker and "talks/meows" very often which keeps us up at night. (He
does it during the day too.) We're getting no sleep.

Our kitty is in good condition. Because of a recent cold virus and
subsequent vet visit, we want to change his eating habits to improve
his health risks in the future.
The vet ruled out any health problems - teeth, diabetes, thyroid

I'm not exactly inexperienced with cats (6 previously!) but my latest 2

My Cats Are Fickled25 Oct 2006 16:31 GMT5
I've bemoaned the strange behavior of our two female littermates before on
this NG.  They basically treat me like dog doo whenever my wife is present.
It's gotten so bad that they will let me pet them generously from head to
toe, rolling around on the floor from side to side while ...
