One of the boys has started having a bald patch at the base of his tail (top); it started gradually and is not lumpy looking but is irritated. As none of the other cats have this, I am hoping it's not infectious, but in a way that's worse as I'm not sure what to do. I am guessing ...

This is kinda gross, but I can't figure out what's going on. For a good bit of her life, my kitty has occasionally had little "growths" on the hairless bit of her anus. Their makeup is a bit difficult to describe, but reminds me of what an overgrown chestnut's

Clyde seems to be all better! He plays a lot now and definitely bites more could he be teething? When would he stop drinking the kitten milk and start drinking water? He's 8 weeks old and I dont want him to get used to drinking the kitten milk all the time.

It has been a while since I have had a kitten. My kitten is about 5 months old and I notice when she is sleeping that her breathing and heart beat is very rapid. She has been to the vet and all is fine with her - no underlying medical issues. She was spayed about a month ago.

I was just watching a show on Animal Planet where they were getting a cat out of a tree. Is it really necessary to help cats get out of trees? There's an old joke with the punch line: "Lady, have you ever seen the skeleton of a cat in a tree?"
