CRF questions20 Sep 2006 04:26 GMT4
Well, I took my 16 yr old cat in last night to have his teeth looked at
since he was chewing funny (see previous post) and losing
weight...other then that he's as spunky as ever.  They did blood work
to make sure he was ok to go under and last night, a technician called
too late to salvage my cats' relationship?20 Sep 2006 03:38 GMT9
I recently got a second cat and I tried to introduce them "the right way" by
separating them and letting them smell eachother's scent for a few days.
But my young new cat pounces on the mellow older cat when he has his back
turned away.  I can't blame my older cat shatner for ...

are pine pellets safe for young kittens?20 Sep 2006 02:01 GMT3
I know that kittens will sometimes eat litter, so clumping litter is
unsafe for them.  I am currently using non-clumping clay in the kittens
isolation area, but tomorrow he will have full run of the house.  My
other cat has 2 litter boxes in the basement.  I use pine pellets for
Cross Eyed Siamese?19 Sep 2006 23:50 GMT2
I've observed Siamese cats over the years that have a cross eyed appearance.
'Never really gave it a lot of thought, since they seemed to see just fine.
Are they really crossed to the point of vision impairment? Does the trait
hold true in cats that may be mixed with common DSH?

Do all pets go to heaven19 Sep 2006 18:54 GMT6
I was wondering if any of you believe that animals, particularly our
pets go to heaven. I lost my cat a few months ago and was experiencing
terrible grief. I stumbled across a website called

Introducing New Cats19 Sep 2006 18:11 GMT2
How long will it take for my Senior Cat to adjust to the new kittens I now
have? The kittens are 6months old and she seems to hate them more everyday.
I feel like putting her on a traquilizer.
who's cat is it any way?!19 Sep 2006 17:53 GMT15
HELP!! Our male cat is 12 months old and has been nuetard. His every need  is
catered for and he is indeed a pampered puss. Yet he continues to betray us
by visiting other houses in our neighbour hood for food and attention!! We
really are at our whiskers end, almost coming to blows ...
Strange crying or meowing???19 Sep 2006 14:50 GMT14
Hi. We have a female cat that is about 9 months old. She has been
fixed. We are just wondering about a toy (item) we let her play with
and the vocal response she makes when she picks it up in her mouth.
The toy is a blue fuzzy ball (kinda like short fur) about 1 inch in
How long before a cat learns his name?18 Sep 2006 22:08 GMT11
I adopted an 8 month old kitten about 6 months ago.  Now he is over a year
old but he still doesn't respond to his name when called.  I will call his
name and he usually doesn't even look at me.  At first, I thought he might
be deaf, but he does react to other noises.  My 3 year ...
Tooth problem?18 Sep 2006 19:53 GMT2
My 16 year old cat has lost some weight recently (lost about 2
lbs...was 16lbs and is now 14).  We had blood work done and it came
back with some levels a little high but nothing to be concerned
about...also had a thyroid check and that came back fine.  He seems to

How Long to Adjust to Country Life?17 Sep 2006 22:41 GMT37
I had to take my 3 kitties out the farm, they have always been indoor
cats. It has been 1 week and they are still terrified of everything.
There are no other animals that can approach them, just the wild barn
kitties, but they can hear dogs, goats and pigs. Has anyone been in
Neurologist & Vet Have No Idea What's Wrong With My Poor Cat17 Sep 2006 20:07 GMT9
A few weeks ago I posted about my cat having weakness in his hind legs
and sometimes walking with his legs close to the floor. At the same
time he started to have defecating problems. His blood work and
urinalysis were normal, the x-ray showed his colon was backed up with
