Outdoor Heating Pad?27 Sep 2006 15:08 GMT8
Winter is approaching all too quickly. My outdoor tribe has collected new
members. The enclosed hootch I've built for shelter is plywood construction,
open cell foam insulation under floor, inside roof, and inside walls. It is
wrapped in Tyvek, shingled and has vinyl siding over ...
Is the ACLU completely retarded?27 Sep 2006 13:28 GMT20
How can the ACLU waste it's time and energy defending the likes of the trash
currently stored at Guantanamo Bay? The ACLU should be interested in
American liberties, not our enemies problems.
my cat's young kittens, afraid of people27 Sep 2006 05:53 GMT1
My cat had kittens.  I kept the basment door closed so that she would
not have them down there.  After a week or two she managed to get them
down there somehow.  Well I made the mistake of leaving them down
there, and would go down there several times a day to play with them

I'm in the process of adopting two 1-yo cats from the local humane society.
My last cat had many health problems in the last 5 years of his life,
and I spent a lot of money caring for him.

I have two wonderful rescue cats whom I have lovingly dubbed "Crazy"
and "Lazy."  Crazy was a stray that I took in after a co-worker found
him and offered him up.  I've had him for almost a year now.  He's been
to the vet, had his shots and, aside from being overweight (which is

bay in cats already compromised by their mothers being FIV positive.
The kittens have all tested negative for FIV in their DNA
Strange flea "infestation"25 Sep 2006 23:27 GMT1
I have two indoor cats, they don't go out except on the balcony. After
a recent move, we noticed some fleas where the cats were hanging out
(mainly our bed and now on a blanket covering an armchair). The thing
is we only found 2-3 fleas at a time (5-6 the first time over two

My very young cat (about 10 months old when pregnant) has had a litter of
four. I believe that the father is one of the mother's brothers. Two of the
kittens seem fine, but one is totally white with red eyes, the other is white
with some grey on th ears, tail and back but also with ...
Food preference25 Sep 2006 05:19 GMT4
I'm about to bring two shelter cats home on Tuesday. They are both 1
year old. I asked my vet, but she didn't express a preference. She
indicated that Eukanuba, Purina One, Iams, Science Diet, and Nature's
Choice are all good foods. Any advice would be appreciated. My former
Do Pets go to Heaven25 Sep 2006 03:54 GMT23
I was wondering if any of you believe that animals, particularly our
pets go to heaven. I lost my cat a few months ago and was experiencing
terrible grief. I stumbled across a website called apetcemetery.com. I
created a memorial there and it helped a lot with me coping with my
