I got a pure bread Burmese cat about 4 years ago from a breeder.   Its

lives with a tabby twice his size named Tiger.  Tiger is vocal but only
in a friendly chirping way he gets it from Zorro.  Zorro is vocal but

First Heat26 Aug 2006 02:28 GMT9
I was just wondering if anyone can tell me about what age a female cat
usually goes in to heat. Would really like to have mine fixed before
she does that. Thanks for any help.

I took my kitten to the vet... 12 days ago and she had an eye infection a
cold and an URI. She's still wheezing, and her eyes are still weeping
slightly. I have been giving her her medicine as recommended (eye cream twice
a day, liquid antibiotic twice a day). could it be more ...

Espy is a pointer cat25 Aug 2006 13:38 GMT10
I'm not sure that I've ever mentioned this. Espy (3yo DSH) often
pauses during walking to look at something, with either of his two
front paws in the air. Sort of like a dog that's a pointer. Every once
in a while I try to shake paws with him but he doesn't quite get the

sick kitty followup24 Aug 2006 22:14 GMT10
Hello, everyone.
Some of you may remember a posts I made over the last few months about
my sick kitty.  He started out with rather vague symptoms: lethargy,
fever, and limping.  After seeing three vets, a feline specialist, and
skin problems24 Aug 2006 16:14 GMT8
This is my last attempt at trying to resolve my cat`s skin problem.
Various vets have said that my cat DJ has a vary low tolerance to fleas
- so every month he`s given spot on frontline - which does appear to
help. Over the last 3 months or so it has got worse, only on his belly
Off to the vet again for Dudley24 Aug 2006 00:57 GMT7
Poor guy is not going to be very happy about this, but of course due to
the in and out of the litter box issue, they want to observe him. I feel
terrible leaving him there beacuse he is such a horrible patient, but
what else can we do? I'm off to work for the day, too, so I wont ...
bloody butt & feces-smelling vomit??23 Aug 2006 22:45 GMT7
So a few days ago, I was playing with my kitty, just the norm.. scratching
him, rolling around with him.. you know!  Anyways, he walked past me and I
noticed that the area around his butt (probably like a 2inch x 2inch area)
was not right.  So we ended up taking him over to the sink ...
New Siamese Cat23 Aug 2006 21:03 GMT2
She is blue-grey, 5 y.o., had her for 3 weeks now.  She is the first
cat I've ever had.  It totally surprises me how needy & affectionate
they are.  She is not as "independent" as I thought a cat would be...
that is fine by me.  It shows that she needs to be petted.  She
Took kitten to vet--kind of listless and no appetite now23 Aug 2006 19:08 GMT4
Took a stray that showed up several weeks ago to the vet.
She thinks he is about 5 months, gave the FVCRP and FeLv vacccines.
This was about 10 am.  Now he is kind of listless and has no appetite.
I assume this is some sort of reaction to the vaccine.  Should I be
Swollen glands -- neck area23 Aug 2006 06:05 GMT28
Just wondered if anyone else has had a cat with swollen glands (or lymph
nodes) in the neck area. Sweeter's glands on either side, right under
the end of the jaw bone, are huge. We've had her on antibiotics but
they've gotten bigger. We're waiting for test results to see if this ...
Question about peeing :)23 Aug 2006 01:49 GMT4
So, I noticed today after we got home from the vet, that Dudley went in
the box to pee. He didnt sit very long before he jumped back out,
without peeing. He did that 3 times and on the 3rd time he peed. (3rd
times a charm!) That was about 5-6 hrs ago. Just now, he basically did
