Stray and Indoor Cats18 Jul 2006 04:59 GMT8
We have two male indoor cats that we only allow outside in the yard in
the evening while we sip a cocktail and keep an eye on them.  Lately, a
female stray cat has decided to make our yard her home.  After a few
weeks of hanging out, my wife has even begun settting out some food and
Request Help:  Might take 13yo to vet18 Jul 2006 04:55 GMT33
Symptom:  My male tabby woke up while I was watching him.  His head
tilted from side to side like a see-saw, fast and beyond his control
seemingly...maybe a dozen times.  He wasn't distressed, nor did his
behavior seem to change since.  Maybe it was a stroke?  Could it be
A little poop...18 Jul 2006 04:15 GMT11
So, our cat has never loved to be picked up.  But we try to pick him up
at least three times per week to try to get him used to it...and put
him down as soon as he resists.  For the second day in a row we picked
him up and he left a poop residue on our clothes.  I have checked his

for (obviously well) my my parents for the next two decades.  my mom passed

Cat licks and bites own low belly area, leaves sores, tests neg. , what gives?17 Jul 2006 21:28 GMT6
By now, you all know my cat, Popsie.  From birth just about, she has
licked her low belly, "udder" area until it is bald and raw in spots!
At one point the doc thought she had ringworm (at 1 yr) and I was
tested too and I had it. She was born under a dumpster in an antbed,
Two cats - both boys or both girls?17 Jul 2006 19:34 GMT5
I'm planning to get a couple of tonks, either two boys or two girls --
I understand they're happier in pairs if they'll be left alone during
the day. Are there any considerations in choosing whether to get two
boys or two girls, however? I do plan to have them fixed as early as is
Why do my cats sleep in the same room as their litter box?17 Jul 2006 16:21 GMT3
I have a back room that is for extra furniture and a few boxes....
This is where I keep the litter box.
My cats sleep in there often, I wonder why?
Is it because it's quiet?
Time-delayed feeding17 Jul 2006 16:11 GMT1
I need to get some suggestions on time-delayed feeding for my two cats.
I start a new job tonight which will have me out of the house when the
cats normally get dinner and for several hours on either side of that
dinner. I can't come home simply to feed the cats and I don't want to
Bumps on cat's back17 Jul 2006 14:54 GMT9
I have a 16 year old tabbie.  Along the top of her back or spine, each
vertebrae has a bony lump on it.  These extend up to about 3/8 " or so.
The bigger ones toward her tail - feels like there's a ball bearing
under the skin.  The bumps do not move, they are bone.  So when I pet
What is he trying to tell us?17 Jul 2006 03:32 GMT4
Over the past month KitKat walks around the house meowing.  I have
tried playing with him, ignoring him, and meowing back at him.  He will
even let out crazy sounding meows as he runs around the house.  He has
toys, food and water...a good scratching post and we socialize with him
Scared kitten17 Jul 2006 01:57 GMT13
I adopted a new kitten 2 weeks ago.  He is now 14 weeks old.  Ever since I
have got him home he hides under the bed and runs away if I go anywhere near
him.  The only time I can get anywhere near him is when my other cat is
around.  Fortunately they got on from day 1, my older ...

and fighting with our cat.
