Feeding Tube21 Jul 2006 06:20 GMT1
My cat was diagnosed with diabetes and possible fatty liver, and since
he wasn't eating, the vet put him on a feeding tube (through his neck).
The cat's been home about 2 weeks now and shows interest in food but
isn't eating enough yet to merit taking the tube out. I was wondering

I've had Isaac, who is close to 2 years old according to the shelter, since
early April.  He's a very enthusiastic, active cat.  He wasn't feeling so
great for the first couple of weeks that I had him but once he got over his
virus/whatever he really perked up.  I'd find him zooming ...

After a recent move to Colorado, my precious burmese cat experienced
difficulty breathing (what looked like a seizure) - took him to the vet
immediately, a bunch of tests were run - it was determined he had high blood
pressure and was put on medication for this (evidently, the ...

I think it is wonderful what some pet owners do for their cats.
There is no question these little steadfast creatures quicky and
understandbly become a family member, but where do you draw the line
with health problems as it relates to spending money. A pet owner can

If you have time, send her a lot of good vibes today.
After a bad weekend and lots of calls to the clinic, I checked her back
in last night. Just got a call that she has peritonitis, an infection of
her abdomen.

We have a senior cat who is unwell.  He is not eating -- only drinking
milk, vomiting with some blood in the vomit.  He is 17 years old.  We
took him to the vet who ran a complete series of tests and could find
nothing wrong.  Any advice on what we could do?  How can we tell if he

Gave my cat the Heimlich today.20 Jul 2006 03:17 GMT8
I wake up to hear my cat doing the dry heaves thing. Hairball? But she
looked so pathetic, with her tongue hanging out of her mouth and kind
of gasping almost. I waited about 2 seconds and thought, okay, that's
enough. So I pushed on her extended tummy which was quite hard and big
Cats who try to go "home" after being moved19 Jul 2006 19:28 GMT8
I have heard numerous stories of cats, who magically find their way
home to their old territories after being moved.  In fact when I was 15
years old, we moved and our male cat used to disappear for 2 weeks at a
time.  We eventually found out that he was going 'home' to our old

Hi. I really need some guidance. I have to cats, sisters named Bloom &
Camoo. Bloom is a happy cat in every way. Cammo is not happy at all and
I don't know what I can do to improve life for her.
To keep it brief, I'll bullet point:
Overweight cat always wanting more!!!18 Jul 2006 21:53 GMT9
My cat is almost 6 years old and weighs 17 lbs.  She is chewing on things
and meowing to wake me up in the morning so that I feed her. Because of her
weight problem, I feed her two 1/4 cup servings of IAMS dry weight control
cat food.
