Ping Steve Crane and Phil--medicine in c/d?23 Jul 2006 09:32 GMT4
My cat has had struvite crystals.  She was doing very well, and was
finally taken off medication and could stop eating c/d prescription.
She went from eating c/d (with chicken) to eating Innova and in just
two weeks, the pH of her urine went sky high so she's back on c/d.  The
Do cats scratch on leather furniture?22 Jul 2006 19:24 GMT10
Hi all, just looking for some quick advice.
We have a 12+ year-old female cat who uses a large upholstered chair to
scratch on.  Just wondering; if we buy a leather couch & chair, is it
likely our cat will try to sink her sharp little claws into the
Calico cats - Bad temperament?22 Jul 2006 13:55 GMT15
I just adopted a stray 8-10 week calico female kitten.  I told the vet
that she was very sweet and I was handling her alot to help her become
socialized.  The vet replied "Let's hope she stays that way.  Most
calico cats are quite ill-tempered." She had worked several years at a
Unusual Kitten Behavior22 Jul 2006 07:43 GMT7
I have a tabby kitten who will be 11 weeks old this saturday. Before she goes
to sleep, she'll try to nurse on this blanket that I have on my bed. You know,
she'll knead it with her paws and.. suckle on it. It kind of freaks me out. I
know it shouldn't but still. I wonder why would ...

Espy knocks things over22 Jul 2006 03:18 GMT1
Since there have been a number of posts about various odd cat
behaviors, I figured that I'd mention that Espy likes to knock stuff
off of shelves and watch as they go down. Anything near the edge of a
shelf is in danger. I've become trained not to leave breakable or
Back to the vet with Kira22 Jul 2006 02:05 GMT1
I'm taking Kira back to the vet on Thursday. She's the one who has been
stressed out a lot lately because of Chase going after her. She does
seem to be a little better after starting the feliway, but she has lost
weight, and the herpes thing with her eye has gotten worse again.
please help!21 Jul 2006 19:04 GMT17

my ankles and feet. As well as when Iam in bed she'll slowly creep up onto
the bed and pounce on me and attack any part of my body that is not under
the covers.. What should i do?
Cat Tail Hair Loss21 Jul 2006 17:55 GMT1
I have 2 Maine Coon cats, both 9 months old.  Just this week, I have
had several long clumps of hair on the carpet from each of them.  They
look like they are from their tails.  I feed them quality food that the
breeder recommended.  They don't go outside.  They do go out onto a

Telling me about the wool21 Jul 2006 11:30 GMT2
So here's Meep, sitting on the scrap of lambswool on my spare bed,
kneading and talking to me.  I guess she's telling me how good the wool
feels between her toes?
She always does that - gives a running commentary when she stands on and
How to keep a cat indoors?21 Jul 2006 09:48 GMT4
I know that this may be too late, but I have a young cat (9 months old)
who I regret has gotten into the habit of going out at night:  my
father has let her out and now come 10 PM she gets very insistant about
going out.   I worry about her, as we live in a wooded area with

There is a juvenile bald eagle hanging out in the tree
in our back yard. Should I keep the kitties inside tonight?
