Re:  Teeth problem?12 May 2006 21:56 GMT7
I just got a 12 week old kitten.  He is constantly biting my fingers.  Do
kittens go through "teething" like people?
If so, what can I do about it?

Independent food testing?12 May 2006 11:58 GMT3
Any ideas where to look for an independent lab to test some cat food for
nutrient content?  Found a couple sites online that do FDA labels for people
food, but those places are awfully expensive.
Maybe I should call my local university vet hospital...?
Hardest Day of my Life12 May 2006 06:46 GMT20
Last saturday, I had to put down my companion and friend of 15 years,
Henry.  He developed advanced kidney failure.  Symptoms began on Monday
and by Thursday he wasn't eating or drinking.  Henry was the mildest,
most retiring cat.  He ran from anyone or any animal except for his
Just give it a try.. I have to tell someone12 May 2006 03:03 GMT1
Seriously no scams! This method really does work and is a very easy way
to make fast money. A little while back, I was looking on the web for
easy ways to make money and I kept thinking that all of the ways I was
reading would never work and were just scams but not this one! The
who has recipes for homemade cat food and treats?12 May 2006 02:12 GMT7
Anyone out there have any good recipes for  properly nutritious
homemade cat food and or kitty treats that a cat would actually eat?
I tried to make some kitty treats once...made exactly like the recipe called for...took the time to make it, roll them out, cut them into little bite ...
help with hair loss12 May 2006 00:42 GMT6
I have three cats, one has a problem with I am guessing hair loss.
While I have never seen her pull out her hair, it seems like her hair
thins a great deal on her hind legs.  I have recently changed her food
to pro plan from the Kirkland brand (I know not the *best* catfood),

Among cheaper brands of canned food, how do
9Lives, Friskies, and Whiskas compare in nutritional quality?
Old People11 May 2006 03:20 GMT8
I get sick of the horrible stereotype that cats are for old ladies.
Growing up I always had both cats and dogs.  Today I live in a one
bedroom apartment with my two cats Scruffy and Ruffy.  My cats are
cool, they sometimes cause me grief but I take good care of them.  I
Introducing a docile male to two other kittens11 May 2006 02:46 GMT2
I have a male tabby that I have had for almost two years.  He is
very gentle and loving and doesn't demonstrate aggressive behaviour.
My problem is that I am a student who is moving home for a few
months until I find a job and place to live.
Excessive licking, hyperthyroidism, tapazole10 May 2006 16:08 GMT3
Several months ago my 12 year old cat started to lick obsessively.  Took him
to the vet who thought he had some sort of allergy.  Vet gave him shots
every couple of months, but excessive licking did not stop.  Put him on
special allergy diet, which did not seem to help either.
Fishers10 May 2006 03:12 GMT10
When discussing the dangers to outside cats, fishers have been mentioned
as a dangerous predator.  I know they are found in my locality.  This
year's issue of the Old Farmer's Almanac has an article about them
complete with a picture.
Spiders in the litter box09 May 2006 21:02 GMT3
I have three litter boxes in three different locations.  Every few days
I find a small spider in one of the litter boxes.  I put the spider in a
jar and release it outside.  They apparently get in the box and are
unable to climb the sides to get out. Why do you suppose they get in

I really encourage Jupiter (my little black cat)  to talk to me as
things come up, you know, not hold things in...
it just makes for an explosion
