Feline Dilated Cardiomyopathy16 May 2006 09:20 GMT4
I originally posted this to alt.med.veterinary but I don't know how
many people can bring themselves to read it with all that bizarre
flooding by the person-who-shall-not-be-named...  But I know there are
plenty of experts (hi, Phil P!) who may know something about this, on

Grrrrr15 May 2006 16:17 GMT32
I've had a local stray hanging around for the last few months and it's
always got scars and scabs around it's head and face. Obviously was
someone's pet as he will let me pet him although never stay too close, my
other cats don't mind him either when he joins them for food.
Goodbye Q15 May 2006 10:00 GMT11
Q, my first cat, passed away last week aged 15. I had him when he was small
enough to fit in the palm of my hand and he was my first pet.
As a youngster he got out one day and was run over resulting in a smashed
pelvis and 6 weeks of hand feeding in my spare room during which ...

IrfanView... does it send the wrong message?15 May 2006 00:56 GMT32
It is my favorite free graphics viewer.  But, for years now, the
default icon for IrfanView is an image of a run-over cat.  You can
even change to a similar icon that shows the tire treads.
As much as I like the software, I am concerned that icon sends the
Feces sticking to cat's behind15 May 2006 00:21 GMT14
Hello all. I have seen a couple messages on the subject but no one
seems to have given an answer. I have a black cat, rather chubby, not
a long hair. Now ... the fact that he is quite roly-poley might have
something to do with his problem, but I am not sure.

Ear infection, Need somehting to hold my strong cat13 May 2006 23:32 GMT13
My cat, a VERY strong, 15-pound male, has an ear infection and I have to
give him two separate liquid treatments for the next ten days. Oh joy. The
problem is how to hold him still enough to be able to give him the treatment.
I live alone, so it's just me against a very strong ...
Queens NY Cat Sitter?13 May 2006 20:42 GMT7
I'll be going away in August and my former cat sitter (Crittercare)
appears to have gone out of business. There are plenty of similar
people in Manhattan but I can't find any that do Queens. Anyone know
someone?
scratching around food bowl before eating13 May 2006 20:31 GMT8
I wondered if someone could tell me what's going on here:
My cat is on an antibiotic.  At first I would mix it with a little
canned food - a real treat for him.  He'd run right over and gobble it
up.  He did that for a few days.  Then he started turning his nose up
Cecil, rescued in Brooklyn!13 May 2006 20:18 GMT6
Cecil is a 5 month-old kitten who was found in Greenpoint. Someone had
bound him with a cord or wire so tight that it cut into his neck,
opening wounds that became badly infected. He also has other medical
issues and tomorrow goes in for a consultation with an opthalmologist
