Is it normal? 14 Apr 2006 00:01 GMT9
I have adopted a new kitten, Stevie. She is amazing. She came into the
shelter with two other littermates. Steve was born with no eyeballs.
Anyway I adopted her a couple weeks ago and I notice that she sleeps through
the night. For the life of me I can't remember a kitten doing ...
cats can read13 Apr 2006 23:55 GMT9
Recently I was complaining on this site about my non lap cats. Right
afterwards one stayed on my lap for a really long while and now the
other is doing it. I have to put them there, but they're hanging
out...as long as I sit in a certain chair, ususally with the heater
Question about IBD diagnosis13 Apr 2006 20:59 GMT3
Hi, we have a cat about 5 years old (this is just a guess because we
adopted her as a stray about three years ago and the vet thought she
was maybe two at the time) who has had occasional soft stools. It never
lasts more than a day (meaning she will have a soft stool, either runny
Travel and cat psycology13 Apr 2006 18:11 GMT6
Cat psycology question:
If you're making major changes to your cat's life - say, putting her
into a cattery/quarantine for two months because you're all moving to a
new foreign country - how best to do it?
Knackered cruciate ligament.13 Apr 2006 17:39 GMT4
My cat Pandora has either torn or ruptured her cruciate ligament in her
left hind leg. The vet has advised a period of rest to be re-assessed in
6-8 weeks, but in the meantime is there anything I can do to help her
heal and so try and prevent surgery?
Greenies for cats13 Apr 2006 16:05 GMT5
I just received a sample of Greenies for cats. I've been hearing that
some people have had problems with dogs getting intestinal obstructions
from eating these treats because they supposedly do not break down
inside the digestive tract if not properly chewed. Has anyone heard of
How to stop cats killing?13 Apr 2006 16:02 GMT70
I know all cats have a deeply ingrained instinct to hunt.  I don't mind
that.  It's just the constant killing that I would rather have them
avoid.  Birds, voles, mice, shrews, weasels, and rabbits: I find them
all waiting for me on the kitchen floor.
Anemic cat12 Apr 2006 17:05 GMT4
My vet has informed that my 8 year-old cat is anemic.  Other than,
keep up her  usual  diet, he said I could add chicken liver, which
could help the anemia.
Any suggestions on good  foods for an anemic kitty.  It can be people
cats suddenly ignoring me12 Apr 2006 15:50 GMT18

company, every time I was on the computer one of them was on my
lap....they won't even play with me
Cat still peeing on floor12 Apr 2006 15:07 GMT1
Hey all.  Some of you might remember my 14 year old cat Spam, who was
diagnosed with early stage kidney failure and heart problems
(cardiomyopathy, but I don't recall what kind) several months ago.
Spam was born with cerebellar hypoplasia so he has always occasionally
For Steve Crane12 Apr 2006 03:12 GMT2
This is for Steve Crane.  The e-mails I send you keep bouncing, so I hope
you see this note here.
First off, I hope this note finds you well.  About three years ago, you
gave me some very detailed and good advice regarding food for my two cats
Two homes and cats12 Apr 2006 00:50 GMT13
Me and my partner both work from home and are considering buying a
second home (actually a flat) which we intend to travel between on a
weekly basis - one week in one place another in the other. All we need
to work is an internet connection so it would be quite feasible.
Cats, water, and chloramine12 Apr 2006 00:32 GMT18
Recently  my local water system changed over from chlorine to
chloramine.  Yours may have changed already, or be considering
changing.  You may not know that unlike chlorine, there is no way to
effectively remove chloramine (a toxin) from tap water.  Chloramine is a
buck toothed brother cats11 Apr 2006 19:49 GMT17
I'm in love with two long haired black cats at the shelter I volunteer
at. Both have long fangs that protrude below the upper lip and a bit
over the lower lip. I've never seen this before...seems to be genetic.
Will they have dental problems later? Has anyone else seen a buck
my new kitty is sick  :(11 Apr 2006 04:23 GMT17
On Monday I adopted a 1 1/2 year old kitty from a local shelter.  He was
sent hom with Flagyl for diarrhea, which he finished yesterday.  The flagyl,
not the diarrhea.  He just did some more this morning.  He is now sneezing,
and last night when I got home from work his left eye was ...
