cat diapers26 Apr 2006 19:18 GMT11
I have a cat with chronic diarhhea caused by tumors.  We've had the
lumps removed twice and they've grown back both times so now we're
trying to make her comfortable for the time she has left. The vet
didn't think she'd survive another surgery.  We don't have a good spot
Hairballs...just a cat fact-of-life?26 Apr 2006 19:08 GMT17
I've had my two cats for almost 8 years now, and I am wondering, are
hairballs just a part of life as a cat?  I realize the amount of hair
they take in when cleaning themselves, but does anyone have any
recommendations for controlling it?
Cat at vet--need some hand holding26 Apr 2006 05:09 GMT11
I dropped off Ginger this morning for some bloodwork and a UA.  She's my CRF
cat that *had* been doing very well, until we went on vacation for a week.
We had a pet-sitter who stayed at the house and took care of the animals.
When we returned, there was evidence that she'd been ...

Dunedin, Florida - A Dunedin dad probably made his point about his son
spending too much time on the computer. Pinellas Sheriff's deputies say
he shot at the monitor as his son sat near-by. Forty-four-year-old Jon
Advice solicited about flying with cat25 Apr 2006 14:15 GMT14
I am flying down to Phoenix on 4/30.  I plan to rent a car and drive
to SW New Mexico where I have a travel trailer.
My plan at this time is to take Tweaker along, although my tenants
have offered to take him in my absence.  My experience so far has been
Strange Cat Invading our Home. Help!25 Apr 2006 10:48 GMT16
We have a very sweet little NEUTERED female cat. She has a cat flat to
go in and out of the house. Over the past few months we have noticed
that she was getting thin even though we kept giving her larger bowls
of food. Now we know why : a strange cat comes in and beats her up,
Coughing kitty24 Apr 2006 23:10 GMT3
I'm not too sure if there's something wrong with my cat or if she just
has a hairball that won't come up....
For the last 4 days she's been making coughing sounds, similar to when
a hairball needs to come up but then she'll stop and nothing comes up.
Keeping cats out of my garden?24 Apr 2006 22:35 GMT13
My cats have been using my vegetable patch for a litterbox
since last Fall. I am now ready to plant vegetables, and I
would like the kitties to go someplace else. Any suggestions
for how I can keep them out of the garden?

Looking for Scratching Post in Toronto24 Apr 2006 11:46 GMT7
My cat's scratching post needs to be replaced.  The rope is falling off,
which is a big part of it.  I would like to replace it with an exact same
one.  I went to the store (Feed Your Pet) where I bought it, but they don't
have any like it in the store anymore.

My new kitty Isaac is around 1 1/2 years old.  He was adopted from a shelter
2 1/2 weeks ago and developed an URI.  So he's mostly been kept in my
bedroom, away from Otto.  He's now finished all of his meds and he seems so
much better but I'm still being careful.
Cat has trouble breathing24 Apr 2006 04:07 GMT14
To preemptively ward off any flaming, I've already taken her to the vet
this morning. I'm just waiting on the test results and going crazy.
Last night I noticed she was breathing heavily, like her lungs were
trying to pop out of her. She was wheezing a bit too. I took her to the

Last year we lost our other cat and now we have been offered a kitten.
The kids are very keen -they are still missing our other cat. We have
an older cat - 10 yr old - who is not affectionate like the one we
lost. This cat is very 'shy' she keeps to her herself and occassionally
Shy cat -- will guests traumatize him?23 Apr 2006 22:00 GMT7
One of my two cats is very skittish.  I have only had one (maybe two)
people in my condo at a time before.  He runs in the other room and
hides behind the bed.  In some of these instances, he will come out of
the other room (very timidly) but he then runs back to the other room
Fat Cat23 Apr 2006 21:47 GMT6
I have a 15 pound cat that is grey with four white feet and a white and
pink little nose. He is adorable. Although, he is the cutest cat in the
world, sometimes he is a hassle to take care of. He kills birds, mice,
moles, snakes, lizards, etc. and brings them in through the doggy ...
