My cats are loosing weight04 Mar 2006 00:09 GMT4
I am new here and need help. I have two female cats about 2 and 3 years
old and both spayed. I have noticed in the last few weeks that they are
both eating less and less (same brand of food, (Natural Ballace dry
food and Fancy feast or friskies canned) even though there is food

I took this retired toy out off its pristine backing (it appears to be
from 1991, so I kind of regret not preserving it, and it looks like the
seller may not have any more). Hodge promptly licked its butt

What Is With Cat's LitterBox Obsession?03 Mar 2006 00:46 GMT5
Our male cat suddenly is obsessed with the litter box. OBSESSED, for real.
He is in there almost all the time, squatting, digging, whatever.
Practically all the time. Sorry, but I'm a "do your business and get out of
there" owner, after all that's what our female cat does. She ...
would you give up to keep your cats and dogs because of bird flu?02 Mar 2006 20:38 GMT5
I have read this terrible news
"The deadly strain of bird flu has been found in a cat in Germany,
officials said Tuesday, the first time the virus has been identified in
an animal other than a bird in central Europe."
Feeling Guilty About Having To Give my Cat Away02 Mar 2006 20:01 GMT12
I have a six year old female cat, she has always just been by herself
with no other pets.  She's very loving.  Two years ago we decided to
expand and get a puppy.  Well the cat was not happy with this.  I
thought that it would just take some time for them to get used to each
possible causes of occasional diarrhea02 Mar 2006 18:12 GMT6
What could be some of the possible causes of occasional diarrhea (like
2-3 times a week for the past couple weeks) in an 8 year old cat who is
eating and behaving normally? She is not losing weight; in fact she's
gained a few ounces over the past month or so. I suspect it might be
wildcat needs home02 Mar 2006 18:03 GMT8
I have a nine month old wild cat.  Any suggestions on finding him a
home?
The vet and pound and  cat shoppe in my area said you can't really find
homes for a wildcat very easily if at all.  And now he's not a kiten
8-month-old Kitten with persistent pneumonia - ideas?02 Mar 2006 13:24 GMT5
A few months ago, I took in 50 cats from a hoarder. Most have been
placed, but among others I have one kitten left who came down with what
seemed to be a mild URI in mid January. He was put on Clavamox (10
days), which did not help. At this point, we decided to sedate and
Life Expenctancy of Main Coons02 Mar 2006 08:47 GMT32
I was at PetsMart today and, silly me, looked at the adoptables.  There
was a card that said the resident's name was Kama (really!) and he was
a main coon, 6 years old.  I could see a cat tucked into its sleeping
quarters, and tapped on the window trying to wake him up so I could ...
Harriet - STF (single tabby female)02 Mar 2006 07:17 GMT7
Harriet & Stinky are the two cats at work.  They've been here for 7 years
now, since Stinky was 3 months and Harriet was 1 1/2 years old.  In the past
4-5 months, Harriet has slowly been copying Stinky's behaviors & habits.
Stinky used to eat in my office, in a corner by two filing ...
Question on anemia/kidney disease02 Mar 2006 07:16 GMT3
I was hoping for some advice. I have a 19 year old tortoise shell cat,
Pumpkin, who was diagnosed with kidney problems last year. Since then,
she has only been eating the Hill's K/D diet and has been doing well.
On a recent blood check, the doctor found she is anemic and her kidney
oh man! yeah!02 Mar 2006 06:53 GMT6
Jupiter eats anything so far...
I discovered if I don't feed her when I first get home
and I give her my dirty dinner plate to lick clean...?
I don't have to wash dishes anymore...she does a fine job.
Not-so-graceful cats?02 Mar 2006 01:49 GMT4
Hi. I have two 1yr old orange tabby brothers, adopted from the local
shelter. From their behavior (and b/c they were "fostered" kittens),
we've deduced that they were raised without a momma cat. They do things
I've never seen before, like "burying" their food for later and have
Oops!  Had to stick Kami twice02 Mar 2006 00:38 GMT3
She laying on the guilt now, boy.  I was giving Kami her fluids and the
first stick was off because there was no flow at all.  So I had to
stick her a second time.  She was NOT happy about that.  Snubbed the
milk treat after and everything.  I said I was sorry!  Now she's in the
