Red Fungus on Cat's Ears04 Feb 2006 23:50 GMT4
We take care of a semi feral neighborhood cat who lives outdoors.  We noticed
something that looks like rust-colored fungus growing in spots on the edges of
her ears and a raised rusty bump on the back of one of them.  On one edge it
looks like where the fungus fell off part of the ...
Spraying04 Feb 2006 23:14 GMT9
I have an indoor, neutered male kitty.  I walked by the front door of
the house this morning and smelled cat urine.  Finding nothing inside
the door - my cat has never gone outside his litter box or sprayed - I
looked outside and sure enough another cat sprayed on my wooden door.
Healthy cat losing weight?04 Feb 2006 04:55 GMT30
I have a twelve and a half year old cat who seems to be losing weight
despite the fact that she has a big appetite, plays a lot, and
generally seems healthy.  She's been somewhat overweight (not obese)
since she had her second litter of kittens in 1994 but as of late she
Would you Marry your Cat?04 Feb 2006 02:38 GMT3
I usually don't call in to radio programs, but I did yesterday.  The guy was
talking about a poll where some large percentage of women would marry they pets
if they were human.  As a side topic, he was asking how much you would spend to
keep your pet alive.
Agression towards sick cat?03 Feb 2006 05:34 GMT4
We have two cats, Catenary and Dirigible: They are littermates, age
about 2 years, both neutered males, former ferals; they have been
housecats for about 1 year.
Catenary has been the "alpha" since before we took them in, but he is
Kami not eating again  :(03 Feb 2006 04:01 GMT37
Kami stopped eating again, including the Fancy Feast.  I gave her
fluids and a quarter Pepcid last night and she ate a little this
evening, but not much.  She did, however, have a great interest in the
sour cream from din-din.  It's like a toddler that only wants junk
Is this a wart or what?02 Feb 2006 23:39 GMT4
While grooming my long haired cat, I saw what, at first glance,
appeared to be a bloated tick. When I tried to remove it, I found it
is actually a growth on the skin. It's about a quarter inch in
diameter, raised, shiny, and black, as if it were a blood blister.
BAD BAD experience today with my cat at the vet.02 Feb 2006 07:12 GMT17
I took my cat in today because he seemed to be having trouble
breathing. He is a 15 year old domestic shorthair who has only been
sick one other time, and only been to the vet once for neutering as a
kitten.

I have 2 adorable cats about 8 months old. One has been unrinating
sporadically on clothing/blankets anything fabric really except for carpeting.
He is huge at 17 pounds (not fat at all) and when he goes it is a huge mess.
He has no medical problems. I have 2 litter boxes which I ...
Hyperthyroid cat...update and a question01 Feb 2006 18:13 GMT2
All,
Just wanted to drop a note to everyone  to let them know that Katie's
thyroid has finally stabilized and her dosage is one half a Tapazole
daily.  Her behavior has changed somewhat since she's been on the

WORRIED!!! 15 yr old diabetic NEVER using cat box01 Feb 2006 12:41 GMT3
Hi everyone. I have a Mancoon who’s coming up on his 15th birthday at the end
of March. He has been diabetic since he was 12 and soon after he was
diagnosed, he moved to California with me from Arizona after my dad passed
away… It was an adjustment to say the least, since I had ...
Should I keep my cat alive?01 Feb 2006 12:20 GMT5
We had a cat that ran off a few years ago and is now semi-wild. He is
15 years old and comes around about once a week. I suspect some other
neighbors feed him. During winter, he never comes inside our house any
more and I have no clue where he sleeps.
