My Cat is behaving strangely lately15 Feb 2006 16:22 GMT1
We got our cat, Jonesey, about 4 months ago.  We adopted him from a
no-kill shelter.  He's about 3 years old and is the sweetest cat in the
world.  However, he does have one bad trait that he's had from the
beginning.  He won't stop begging for food!  He's like Joey Tribianni on
Science Diet Light vs Indoor Cat - mixing and dental15 Feb 2006 15:36 GMT1
Just got off the phone with Science Diet and still a question or two:
Science Diet Light says good for dental.
Science Diet Indoor Cat does not say good for dental but does say good
for shedding.

Persistant Respiratory Infection15 Feb 2006 03:22 GMT4
I have a four year old male cat (Borgart) whom I adopted from a local
shelter 7 days ago.  He developed URI symptoms the second day I had
him. he began sneezing and I noticed very mild congestion. The biggest
sign of illness was the fact he was uninterested in food or water as
Medical reasons for not purring?14 Feb 2006 20:13 GMT4
Hi, first-time poster here. I adopted a 3-year-old cat about five
months ago and have been trying to figure out why he doesn't purr. He's
a very affectionate cat, doesn't seem at all traumatized. But he simply
doesn't purr. He does make a bit of a squeaky noise every now and
10 year old female cat urination question.14 Feb 2006 17:48 GMT12
I have a 10 year old female persian cat.  A few months ago, she has
adopted a new littter box habit.  She places her front paws in the box,
her hind paws on the edge of the box, and she squats and urinates
outside the box.  Urinary tract infection/cystits has been ruled out.
Innova and better looking cats14 Feb 2006 13:44 GMT11
Someone mentioned their cat looked better, nicer fur, using Innova, as
opposed to Science Diet. Since that thread, originally the low
phosphorus thread, is way over 100 posts and Google has stopped
numbering the posts when being viewed, for the time being, I am

I have spent some hours trying to go through the recent posts
on this incendiary topic, and I am still here asking my usual
questions....

Just adopted a Cat, but he's not eating... Help Please...14 Feb 2006 04:31 GMT16
I adopted a cat from a local shelter on Friday.  He is a black short
hair and is about 5 yrs old.  He was brought to the shelter with another
cat because the owners girlfriend was allergic.  Neptune (my cat's name)
was brought in with another cat who was adopted out before him.  ...
fish in cat food14 Feb 2006 01:57 GMT5
Was looking at our Purina One chicken and rice today - it contains fish
meal!  One of our cats is allergic to fish - is there any food that
doesn't contain any fish?

Indoor vs. Outdoor Dilemma13 Feb 2006 23:28 GMT13
I know the general topic has _certainly_ been addressed here a million
times, but I'd like to hear some brainstorming on how I can get around
the problem in my own future situation.
My wife and I have three cats (2-3 years old) that were raised entirely

Heart Murmur13 Feb 2006 11:02 GMT3
I've just come back from the vet.  He says Meep has a heart murmur.
It's a bit odd, he didn't tell me in the examining room but as I was
checking out, "did you know Meep has a murmur?".  He didn't give me a
grading or anything, and I didn't know to ask until now, when I've been
Update on Spam (the cat not the emails)13 Feb 2006 03:47 GMT14
As I posted in my rant a few days ago, Spam had been pooping in the
living room.  So today I caught the entire production and I think he's
constipated.
Spam peed in his pan, and pooped a little tiny bit before coming back
