Any ideas to get a hairball up and out?13 Jan 2006 14:57 GMT4
Does anyone have any suggestions on helping my Chloe vomit her hairball
out?  I know it sounds gross but you all have been there I'm sure.
Chloe has been spitting up the last few days and I'm sure it must be a
hairball but it just doesn't want to come out.  I getting ready to give
Meowing and Thyroid?13 Jan 2006 14:01 GMT7
I remember reading something here about cats who have thyroid problems
meowing more than they usually do.  Does anyone have any information on
that?  Jessie just had blood work done and one of the things the vet
suspects is thyroid problems.  She's 6.5 years old, losing weight ...
Update on Sasha13 Jan 2006 00:33 GMT4
Well Sasha is suffering from has chronic kidney failure. She is still
at vets office for indefinitely. Her BUN (I think ) was 122 which Dr
said was very  high. He also said the masses he felt were poop and she
was pretty backed up. Right now she is undergoing fluid therapy with

Very Worried about boy - tumor or anal gland issue12 Jan 2006 19:24 GMT2
Tonight I noticed something slightly amiss with my neutered male's
rear.  Nothing major, just more 'obvious' somehow. I checked and see
there was some rawness to the side of the anus.
I thought to myself "ok" maybe just some odd injury, etc.  But when
UTI Causes12 Jan 2006 18:31 GMT3
The poor kitty came up with another UTI this morning.  This time it
*is* bladder, not kidneys because of the kidney disease.  Is there
something I'm doing or not doing that makes it easy for her to get?  Or
does she just have a weakened system due to age and illness?
laser pointers and my cats12 Jan 2006 06:33 GMT1
This past weekend I picked up a laser pointer with the idea of
using it as a toy for my cats. It uses for very small batteries
and is built into a pen. After playing with them for a bit I
noticed that from time to time they would get their heads in the
Endless biting will it ever stop!12 Jan 2006 01:47 GMT13
My husband and I adopted a young 10 week old kitten in October.  So now
he is about five months old.  His name is Norman, I think he is
partially siamese, I can tell by some of his markings.  He is a
sweetheart and a bit of a big baby.  Thing is, is he tends to misbehave

Story and picture here. Seems the little guy was one of a litter of two and
survivied for one day. The other littermate is normal and doing fine.
Cat Pooping in Bathtub!11 Jan 2006 21:22 GMT20
For me, 3 is the magic number.  Tonight was the 3rd time I found Mico's poop
in the bathtub.  I take it he's angry at me, but for what I cannot tell.  I
recently filled up the litterbox with more litter - the pile is kinda high,
maybe more than the three inches the instructions ...
Purrs needed for Sasha11 Jan 2006 18:45 GMT4
Sasha is at the vets right now for testing. Her eating habits have
been deteriorating for the past couple days. Last night she pretty
much refused canned food but has been drinking a lot of water. She is
over 5 years old so vet is testing for diabetes, kidney failure and
My kitty like veggies for a treat11 Jan 2006 17:38 GMT5
I didn't expect my cat to be vegetarian, but she loves cooked veggies,
especially the green ones.
She still eats her meat-based kitty crunchies for the main part of her
diet.
cat urinating problem11 Jan 2006 14:15 GMT1
I'll try to make this short....
I've seen two vets, and neither one can find a problem with my 8-year
old male, part maine coon.  About one year ago, he started peeing on the
carpet in two spots in my old townhouse.  Oddly enough, one spot was on

My kitten's abdomen is slumping.11 Jan 2006 00:08 GMT7
I am new to the group and to cat ownership.  I adopted 2 kittens back
in the summer, one male and one female.  Their names are Donny and
Marie.  They are now 7 months and have been a great joy to me.
I want to do the right thing so at four months, I had them both fixed.
