Great cat litter scoop17 Jan 2006 17:37 GMT14
A friend gave me a "Litter-Lifter" cat scoop for Christmas.  I love it!!
Now, it may sound a little strange to hear that someone "loves" a litter
scoop, but this one is so different that it really does deserve all the
raves.  It is heavy-duty, wide and long enough for a really ...

My otherwise healthy 8 year old cat was recently diagnosed with

So what is the bottom line on feeding kitties to prevent UTI events?
>From what I have read, canned moist food gives the cat more water than
dry food with a bowl of water.  Opinions?
Feral cats16 Jan 2006 16:03 GMT8
I have a couple of feral cats that come and go as they  please. When we can
get hold of them we take them to the vet and have them spayed and get them
shots, etc. We feed them a mix of good quality can and dry cat food. We
would like them to stay around since they keep the mice ...

My cat has a urination problem. He's been fixed since he was 6 months
old and has never sprayed. Urination has been found in some puddles on
the floor and other places, sometimes soaking his hindquarter. This is
very unusual for him.

Our 18 1/2 year old cat, Trixie, has been in kidney failure for the
past 7 months. I administer lactated ringers twice a day. She is

I have a 4 year old cat I rescued when he was less than a year old. He
was already neutered when I got him. Recently, he has been displaying
some sexualized behavior that has me baffled. We have one other adult
male cat in the house (we have had this other cat for almost two
Wierd burying behaviour14 Jan 2006 18:25 GMT6
One of my cats Josephine threw up on the hall floor, and I was on the phone,
so I did not clean it up right away.  After a minute or two, she returned to
the pile, and then kept sniffing it and then "scratching" at the floor
around it, in all directions, then smelling it again. I ...

we picked her up from the pet "hotel" at the university animal hospital
and she has been sneezing a little for about a week now.  she stayed
there for 12 days when we went on vacation.  she has also become more
cuddly, which is very much unlike her.  she usually doesn't like to sit
Kittens vs. consumer electronics14 Jan 2006 05:51 GMT21
My wife & I have a kitten that acts like it's about to fold up.  Weak,
very little appetite, lethargic, stunted growth when compared  to her
siblings.   Barely walks.  The vet really couldn't do much in the way
of diagnosis without blood tests, etc.  Heres the fun part-  This
Jessie's Blood Test Results14 Jan 2006 04:29 GMT2
Her T3s look fine and there is no other indication of thyroid problems, her
BUN and creatinin levels are perfect.
The only abnormality was a low white blood cell count.  This is ominous
because it's the second time within a year that she's had a low white blood
Sasha & CRF13 Jan 2006 19:57 GMT3
Well I went to see her yesterday and she is depressed. Her BUN was
only down to 115 from 123. Dr.  said she seem much more down and not
as alert as day before. I know she is homesick. She is not good with
environment change. She was a stray that found me 5 years ago. I
