Bengals and Diarrhea28 Jan 2006 00:51 GMT6
I have a new Bengal he was a give up by a owner who did not know what she had
gotten into with this breed, he was also urinating on her bed. He doesn't do
that at my house and I 've had him since Christmas. He has had a problem with

Blind Kitten advice.27 Jan 2006 23:26 GMT27
Hi.  Last week upon returning home I found a 7-8 week old blind,
dehydrated, 1lb 2oz kitten. It was below zero out and I was not about
to leave her outside. Been to the vet twice and probably the states
best pet optomologist (sorry for bad spelling).  Apparently her mother
Lick, lick, lick, lick...bite.27 Jan 2006 21:06 GMT8
My 2 yo coon cat has a tendancy to lick my hand several times and then
place his teeth on me as if he were going to bite me. He never leaves a
mark, though. Is he just testing me or tasting me? It's kind of funny
when he does it. It's like he can't resist the temptation to take a
My cats and the mole27 Jan 2006 14:20 GMT8
I found a mole (?) running around in the house, and my cats were not really
interested in pursuing it and attacking it like they did in the
past with mice, bunnies, chipmunks. I had to pick it up and throw
it out myself. I wonder if the cats were afraid of it. Isnt it unusual
Cat has tremors while sleeping27 Jan 2006 05:59 GMT6
One of my cats is about 1.5 years and has tremors/ muscle spasms
when he sleeps. When I got him he was ~7 weeks old and had been
rescued from a railyard. At first I thought it was a kitten thing
combined with dreams of the rough time he had in the rail yard. (his
Meds for earmite follow up27 Jan 2006 02:18 GMT20
On the advice of this group  I decided to order some medicine for my cats
earmites since the stuff I got at the pet store seemed to burn them and
mineral oil wasnt working.
I found a site that will ship to Canada, so I looked at the three options
Cat not losing weight27 Jan 2006 01:42 GMT3
Well, have been trying to get him to lose some weight since Xmas. On the
26th of Dec. he weighed 18.2 lbs, on the 3d of Jan. he weighed 18.6 lbs. At
that point I reduced his calorie intake to 284.5 calories a day. On the 23d
of this month he weighed 18.7 lbs. Guess I'm gonna have ...
Significance of tail 'flicker' in tomcat?26 Jan 2006 22:40 GMT1
An intact tomcat holds tail straight up  and briefly gives it
a 'flickering', ondulating motion, kinda like a candle flame in the
wind.
Does it mean that he is spraying?
Caliccivirus26 Jan 2006 20:33 GMT20
I have a 4-year old Maine Coon that I adopted from a cat shelter about
a year ago.  He was only at the shelter for one week before I adopted
him, but he has had one thing after another since bringing him home.
Of course, I did take him to the vet the first week I got him and the
Litterbox problem.  Help Please!26 Jan 2006 06:15 GMT22
I have a two related questions to pose to the group.
The first relates to an older cat who is having problems using the litter
box on occasion.

Kami May be Dying26 Jan 2006 01:04 GMT103
Please spare me the usual flames.  At least try to feel something for
the cat if not the cat-mom.
A week ago, cat came down with am imfection that cannot be identified
at bladder, tract, or kidney because no one can get urine from her.
Viva la SpotBot!!!26 Jan 2006 00:27 GMT14
I don't know if anyone else here has mentioned this, but I recently
bought a SpotBot, the walk-away carpet spot cleaner, and I LOVE IT!  I
bought originally because it would be less expensive than replacing the
car seat cover in my car if I could get the ink out.  Since Kami's

Believing that litter boxes are unhealthy for cats (imagine having to
walk around on litter contaminated with urine and feces) not to

Ideas about these lab numbers?24 Jan 2006 19:46 GMT7
I'm new here <waves>
What brings me to this group is some recent very odd bloodwork on my cat,
Celia.  I had a long conference with my fabulous vet regarding this, and
will be visiting the vet teaching hospital for an echocardiogram.  I'm just
